Not One but Two New Signings 15 July, 2006

Don’t get too exited but yes we have signed two new players. However it’s a 17 year old and a 19 year old to add to he reserves, Wenger does alot of this and maybe in years to come these will be massive players for us. Anyway they are Dutch winger Vincent van den Berg and defender Joe O’Cearuill, I’ve spoken about van den Berg before on the site saying that he was having talks with Arsene and Dennis Bergkamp and had been offered a contract, that was just over a month ago and he has finally signed for us.

I’m personaly quite exited about this player, he played for Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie but has impressed highly at under youth level. At the Fifa Under-17 World Championships in Peru last October he was one of the highest regared players and there were many scouts after him, and I’m glad it’s Arsenal who’ve captured him. There is no doubt he is one for the future but still, we have finally signed another player. The other man is O’Cearuill who we signed from newly promoted Watford, he played for our reserves towards the end of last season and did enough to impress and Arsene offered him a contract. I have added both players to the new squad page which I have also added some details for each player under their thumbnail. The two new youngsters are included in the 19 man squad for the trip to Barnet.

Ashley Cole’s autobiography had just come out in which has has hit out at Arsenal, with a bitter view on the club he ‘loves’. He gave his side on the story of the tapping-up incident with Chelsea.

“Arsenal hung me out to dry, using me as a scapegoat to get back at Chelsea, the board ‘rewarded’ me with an insult and threw years of loyalty back in my face. I’ll reveal the shattering truth about who fed me to the sharks. It changed my view forever on the club I regarded as family. Contract negotiations broke down and as a player I felt betrayed. I was on trial within football and it was Arsenal AND Chelsea versus me. I was fined for holding transfer talks with Chelsea and was synonymous with one of the biggest transfer scandals in soccer. I battle to clear my name and a secret deal keeps me at Arsenal.”

Basically Ashley, just fuck off. So what your saying is Arsenal forced you to go have talks with Chelsea? And then when you did, we were wrong to be upset that you did? Look mate, you’ve got too big for your boots, and Arsenal Football Club doesn’t like those sort of players, fuck off back to Chelsea where you belong. You obviously realise you are one of the best defenders in the world and think you can use that to do anything you like. You used to be one of my favourite players, but you turned into a cunt, I hope you enjoy your new Chelsea pay cheque.

Ok, enough on that, it’s making me angry. The Serie A verdict was released last night and it goes like this:

Juventus: Relegated to Serie B with a 30 point deduction for next season, fined €80,000, 04/05 & 05/06 titles taken away and not allowed in the 06/07 Champions League.

Fiorentina: Relegated to Serie B with a 12 point deduction for next season and not allowed in the 06/07 Champions League.

Lazio: Relegated to Serie B with a 7 point deduction for next season.

AC Milan: Remain in Serie A with a 15 point deduction for next season and not allowed in the 06/07 Champions League.

Haha! I’m not going to go into this in depth but this means a massive finacial loss for every club as not being tin the Champions League alone is about -£30m. Also Juve are going to have to work very hard just to stay in Serie B next season and not get relegated. The start with -30, if they got 70 points in thier campain I would give them 40 points which leaves them about 18th if you compare it with last seasons table. Also AC Milan will have to work hard because now it will be hard for them to even make UEFA cup this season. It makes it very exiting, and it also means we don’t have to face the top Italian clubs in the Champions League. Now there will be a big spending spree for club and however much they try to not sell, they will be forced to as they will desperatly need money.

Arsenal v Barnet Preview

Our first Pre-Season friendly of the summer kicks-off at 3:00 today at Underhill Stadium, home of League 2 side Barnet. I’m going this afternoon as I have done for the past two years, the first time I went it was 10-1 and last year it was 4-1 so I’m expecting to see goals, this year its not a very exiting squad list, the 19 players named are as follows:

Manuel Almunia
Mart Poom
Vito Mannone
Jeremie Aliadiere
Nicklas Bendtner
Matthew Connolly
Pascal Cygan
Mathieu Flamini
Kerrea Gilbert
Justin Hoyte
Alex Hleb
Seb Larsson
Arturo Lupoli
Fabrice Muamba
Joe O’Cearuill
Alexandre Song
Ryan Smith
Anthony Stokes
Vincent van den Berg

The only players I’m really looking forward to seeing are Aliadiere, Hleb and new signing van den Berg. The World Cup meant we couldn’t field a better known side but I suppose the players do need the rest. As for Barnet, well I know fuck all about their side apart from one player who sounds familiar, all I know is it will be a nice, sunny, relaxing afternoon where I will be seeing Arsenal once again, it’s exactly 60 days since our trip to Gay Paris, c’mon the Arsenal!

If you read yesterday I mentioned my brother said they had the new shirt at my local sports shop, well he actually just saw the training shirt, what a waste of time that was. Anyways, have a good day, I’m off to Barnet soon, maybe I’ll see you there?

28. Nafi'u Umar Magori - 12 June, 2008

Hi. The arsenal manager of the club, Mrs arsene wenger i’m the gunners for life but my issue is that how to making a new players so that the club wiil be strong for the next coming season. but this season form better but twice the end the players were tired, the need to rest but there is no reserve, so my point he is that for you to make a new players for the team.

Lets focus on the future now,David Villa and Silva will do for us.And i think Theo Walcot is Ready to be a full time player.Im excited for the upcoming season.Go Gunners

32. BeluxJasi, Nigeria - 24 June, 2008

I believe d most important thing that could happen to a club at the end of every season is to win at least a trophy. Sincerely, gunners started well and thumps up for the team as a whole for making every match an interesting one. But my advice to Wenger is,he should try and aim high at getting new signings…He knows what is good for the club. I remain a loyalist of the club 4 life.

33. BeluxJasi, Nigeria - 24 June, 2008

Funny enough, arsenal started well at the beginning. In-fact,the number of fans grew at first bt now Arsenal now takes an adjective in Nigeria-’APIAKA’ It qualifies every member of the team as a whole. E.g Apiaka Wenger. My advice is that he should buy capable players to replace the weaker ones-Gallas,gilberto,eboe,even Apiaka Bayor…

34. BeluxJasi, Nigeria - 25 June, 2008

The likes of Adebayor, Gallas, Gilberto and Lehman are bunch of old school players. The fact remains they are good, but not good for Arsenal kind. Adebayor would have been a prince of England if he had been able to utilize most of the assists by cesc, hleb, flamini and host of others. Let’s assume ‘Bayor scoring 60 goals jast season, the story would be different by now. Gallas is not fit as a captain, and even as an actor on the stage of centre back. If both ‘Bayor and Gallas should appear next season in Arsenal team, I expect it to be on the subtitution list. They can do be better on the bench. Gilberto should go for now. It makes no difference if WENGER keeps him in the team. He has played his best then-old days. The likes of podoski, vela, nasri,Arshavin,Santa cruz, and other bright players should be tried. Make the NigerianTogolese an alternative forgone. Up GUNNERS!

35. Shidah - 27 June, 2008

Hello Mr Wenger, I wish you could either go in for David Villa,Torres or Frank Ribery. They could put Arsenal on the would map.Longlive arsenal, Longlive the Gunners!

36. OBISESAN Jide - 1 July, 2008

Asernal needs well talented midfielder(1)&defenders(2)&a fast thinking attacker(1) to compliment cesc, song, denilson, etc because we have too much pressure on our guy been the ones to play all tru the FA,PREM,CHAMP LG,etc humanly these boys will definitly burn out if no adequate/experienced subs are not readily available,i am not mentioning any player to be bought or sold?but we need players of class of the ones we have sold,in the past or recently?

37. OBISESAN Jide - 1 July, 2008

GUNNER FOR LIFE

38. collo - 14 July, 2008

we must teach these other primier league team a lesson

39. arbab - 21 July, 2008

hi
what about our weak defence?
is there any new defender in team?

40. JOHN BAYS - 24 July, 2008

what can i say.. everybody has said there piece and i believe we can all agree on one thing.. Arsenal need a strong striker, a holding midfielder and a strenghend defence… last season we played some magnificent football, the quick passing arsenal style, which the fans have always loved to see… but we failed to get the result.. its all well and good entertaing us with fast paced football, but if were not walking away at full time with a smile on our faces there must be something wrong.. i like the idear that wenger buys in players and puts them through the youth camp, nurturing them into possible world class players… we are a money making club so lets use some of the profits to get the squad ship shape for the new season.. get rid of the liabilities..we all no who they are… “UP THE ARSENAL”…

41. g0on£r - 25 July, 2008

..gooner until d end of tyme

44. BeluxJasi, Nigeria - 18 September, 2008

Personally I dont normally get carried away by gunner’s performances during the pre-season matches. Having played five matches now,we all know the results-WLWWD.The last D being in d champions league opening. Without saying much,we can all sight lapses in various areas,a penny for your thoughts.Wenger, make use of your honourary Professorship. Arsenal can still do better with Denilson,Eboe on the sub’ list. Till Jan,I wait for response as a Gunner without a coma.+2348032731741

45. Belux Jasi, Nigeria - 18 February, 2009

Complement or maybe happy new year, which ever one you like.Welcome my fellow Gunners. Firstly I want to say thank you to Wenger for making some of my flights of fancy(dream) a reality-bringing Vela, Nasri, and Arsharvin to join us at Emirates. Impressive! Now that Eduardo is back, what next? Let me request for an impressive centre defence come next season. As for Aston Villa, no doubt, they will finish behind Arsenal even if it’s a point I don’t care. I’m still here as a Gunner till the end of the season before I post new comment, could be against critics. Up Gunners! Belux(+2348032731741)

46. felas - 26 June, 2009

hi arsene, iam felas from umuahia, abia state, nigeria to be precise. i didnt join arsenal because of winning,i do because they play my kind of style in football and like i tell people,’the arsenal you see today ll not be the same by tommorrow’. so,wenger,i believe in you but my advice to you is that you should be mindful of how you discard OUR players just like what happened to flamini;hleb & co, i pray it ll not be the same with fabregas! so,like i believe in you,i also believe in God,because with HIM all things are possible!

47. Nitelook - 28 July, 2009

i want to kbnow if wenger is reading our coment, i think he need our view.

Mally - 7 June, 2010

true that man I think this guy should see what we are saying

48. Adesanmi Adeyinka Omotade - 5 September, 2009

I am always very happy when I hear that Arsenal football Club of England is meeting another London rival. It’s a beginning of new season though, having lost one match to Man Utd., hopefully that tells you that we need a lot of courage to mov on as we still have a lot of matches ahead to play…Wenger has a lot of task to put us through a very positive season.

49. Tarun - 7 April, 2010

I Certainely Belive that Arsenal should By Good Midfeilder who can Create chances for players like Arshavin,Nasri,Wallcott,Bendtner, though Fabregas is There in But While in his Absentism who Matters in There to fill his Position By Players like Robben, Ribery, Giggs,Fletcher,Essien, and the Best Buy for Arsenal this Summer is Say By Along Mouranne Chammak who scores in Evrery Game in Champions League or try to Buy Player like Legend Thierry Henry

50. riliwan alabi - 19 April, 2010

i want, they should sak their manerger.

51. Mally - 7 June, 2010

what the hell does this old man think just signing 17 year olds and giving the to reserves i really do not get the point of Arsen Wenger someone should try and advise him atleast

52. Mally - 7 June, 2010

But also would want to add on what i said is that no matter what Arsenal undergoes i would never leave the club they have the best game play than anyother team they are good in formation all we lack is the experience but no matter what Arsenal is the best team ever

53. Glen {I love Arsenal} Deeprose - 30 July, 2010

It’s true, there is a lot less to that cunt Cole, [back passage shiter], than is really possible. Saying that, there is more to A.W. than we all give him credit for. The Emirates wasn’t cheap, staying alive is even dearer. When he feels that we ain’t going the way of other fools in our position, and he feels that we can all relax. When the right face is in the right place, and he’s young enough to be of value, then and only then, will Mr. Wenger make his play. I am keeping the faith, so fuck off all you doubters, you back stabbing cunts, and all you underhanded so called clubs. I believe, I truely believe that A.W. will take us to our rightful place. You ain’t seen nothing yet, get with it.

54. Augustino - 31 July, 2010

from Uganda Africa.
plz the manager arsenal we have suffer alot, we’ve heard alot, and we’ve seen many we want to rejoy. buy some good defenders, strikers, to make the big squad these time. otherwise we may not watch the football from the oublic olaces but i know football is round, until it’s 90mins to accept the result. i wish all the fans and the players the best of all in the last day when we are bcelebrating for the primer leaqage cup championship and others. mr. wenger is the best manager or the football commander in the pitch.

55. Augustino - 31 July, 2010

I wist the club the best of these season as we will wait for the celebration at yhe last dat of the primer leaque final.
