Arsenal 1-1 Middlesbrough – 09/09/06 – (Barclays Premiership) 10 September, 2006

Fuck sake.

Much like the Villa came we dominated but could convert and of our chances mainly to the fact we just wouldn’t fucking shoot. Hleb is the main offender on a few occasions he had a clear shot on goal inside the box yet he chose to pass it wasting the chance. The goal that we did get came from a debatable penalty, at least Thierry scored it. I haven’t got long to write today, I need to be at work in 25mins. Gunnerblog has an excellent analysis of what went wrong yesterday. So we’ve got 2 points from 3 games and our next match is against United. Fuck. Am I the only one who can’t bear to watch? I don’t think we are the Arsenal of old anymore and I wouldn’t blame Henry if he thinks he’s made the wrong choice. We need to step up and kick into gear. Start playing proper football and fucking shoot when we get the chance.

We deserved to win, ‘Boro had one chance the whole game and that was the one they converted. The rest of the game was us dominating but we couldn’t core a goal from open play against fucking Middlesbrough. Forgive me for being angry and negative: at least we didn’t lose. We’re still stuck on 17th and I don’t expect us to move off it for a while yet with Man U away next. A draw would be nice but…

We’ve got Hamburg in midweek in the Champions League, maybe we can concentrate on that? Oh well. Sorry about the short write up people, I’ve really got to go now. Bye
