Charlton Preview 29 September, 2006

Just a quick look towards the trip to the Valley. The main news is something quite amazing: Gunnerblog reports that Gary Lewin is some sort of miracle worker as Djourou and Gallas might now be fit. It’s an amazing turnaround seeing as Gallas was looking at about three weeks. It would be great news if the two do make it back and would stop us having to play Song! And play him in defence! The worst scenario? Maybe not, it would be worse having to play him as a striker I suppose…or ‘keeper.
Wenger has praised Thierry Henry saying him becoming captain has made him more mature:
Different positions watch the game differently. For example when you are a striker you are served by all the other players. When you are a goalkeeper you watch everything. But Thierry is very intelligent and he can put himself in the position of all the other departments then analyse them. Before he looked up and just thought ‘OK, Bergkamp has the ball I’ll go’. Now he has to think about the whole global part of the game. It has forced him into more maturity.
I’d agree that Thierry has matured as a player since taking the armband. I’m not sure if he was the right choice as captain and I don’t know if it was anything to do with helping him stay but it has changed his game.
Arsene’s also been talking about Bill Gallas. He said how he’s suited to Arsenal and he adds alot to our team. I think Gallas is an amazing addition to the squad and it’s quite incredible how we got him. Hopefully he’s fit to face Charlton.
And also Wenger’s been talking about himself saying if he was playing he’d be a midfielder. A bit crazy but it kinda makes sense.
We should have no trouble at the Valley, Charlton’s last game was a 2-0 loss to Villa and they’re not in an incredible run of form. I’m expecting us to come away with all 3 points, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t.
Sorry about the shortness of the post, will have a match report up soon. If you’re going, enjoy it, cheer on the boys for me. I don’t know where I’m following the game, probably on the radio. Anyways, see you later.

William is a brilliant addition to the team. He can dribble, head and even score! Chelski supporters over here are furious as most of them see him as their favourite player taking over form the enigmatic Zola.
William’s injury was not that serious. Arsene himself said post-Porto that they will have to wait until the scans to confirm the injury. Initial estimates was about three weeks for a common hamstring. Seems like this was not a full blown hamstring but just a tweak.
I agree, what a star Billy G is already!
Do we miss C*&%, I think not, he never really played last year anyway. The Gmeister is an instant fan favorite and Cashley isn’t even the regular player for the chavscum as he was with us!
Come on the Arse!

Eboue——–Toure—————BillyG———-Hoyte
Hleb———Gilberto————-Baptista——-Rosicky
————-Adebayor————TH14
I think it seems that Gallas is more likely to stard than Djourou and that means Hoyte on the left… …I think it will be TH14 and Adebayor on the front and AW will rest Csesc (although with the Internationals comming up why bother), I would like to see the Beast get more than a 5min apearance as do all of you!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Get in RVP
RVP goal of the season!- for real!
