Good performance by the boys. Hleb worked hard as usual but gave the ball away far too many times so did Clichy. Djorou solid at the back as with Senderos (the less impressive of the 2). Gilberto was a monster in midfield. Fantastic. One of the best performers. He was also such a good captain calming his players down and leading by example, he even got stuck in a couple of times! RVP did his best. Ade was fantastic. This boy is really starting to change my perception of him. Cesc was alright i guess, quiet by his standards. Flim flam… hmm jury’s still out but cant complain about the goal. Well worked.

The only downside was when Fred was brought on. Honestly and ashamed as i am to admit it, as soon as it was announced he would come on for RVP i thought this is it. We’re not gonna win this and it might not be his fault for the goal but it did come. I just feel like it was a mistake not to change up the squad a little after Wright-Phillips and Robben came on. Too much pace, way too much. I would have killed for Walcott to come on to balance it out a bit. Overall we were alright and were really lucky towards the end.
