I may have only a scrap of the understanding of football & player abilities that Wenger undoubtably has but even I can see the boy has potential. He performs very well regularly for the reserves & has all the makings of a carbon copy of Gilberto if he was only given the chance to develop. He seems to have the same positional sense & discipline to hold a midfield in a very attacking side (a vastly underrated skill) while showing some of the same faults our World Cup winning midfielder has often been derided for himself up until very recently – chiefly, an occasional lack of intensity to his game coupled with a desire to linger on the ball for far longer than is necessary while yes, his passing could improve a fair bit too. If this move does turn out to be a permanent one I wish him all the best, however, if he does return I’m sure he’ll be much improved for the experience.

Also yeah i’m not a fan of Song but if he proves us all wrong i’d be more than happy to say i was wrong. Despite him moving to Charlton, I sincerely hope they go down if only to give that prat weasel faced ferret Pardew a few sleepless nights.

anyways, does anyone else think that our winger situation is insane? we don’t have any! rosicky’s good but he’s out of position there. Much as I disliked reyes’s attitude an flopping, he helped stretch the field and now we just don’t have that.

I’ve seen Babel play quite often, and I’d take him in a second over the summer. He’s got real quality.
