Asburton Grove

It’s getting so boring now for an Arsenal fan. I suppose there’s the unbeaten record at Ashburton Grove but apart from that there’s nothing to look forward to. There are games against Spurs and Chelsea coming up and hopefully we’ll buck our ideas up before those games to save embarrassment. There’s no news about either, it’s gone all quiet. It’s Champions League football tonight and tomorrow and it feels strange not being involved.

The only other piece of news is another Arsenal team losing. The youths lost to Man United in extra time in front of a crowd just over 8,000 at Old Trafford. Here is the manager, Steve Bould’s thoughts.

So I suppose if we’re looking for Arsenal silverware this season we’ll have to look in the direction of the Ladies. The second leg of the UEFA Cup final is being played towards the end of this month at Borehamwood’s ground. Might be worth going along to. However, one of their top players, Kelly Smith, will miss out through suspension for ‘gesturing to the crowd’ in the Semi Final.

Sorry about the lack of updates recently. 1. There’s been fuck all happening, 2. I couldn’t be arsed, 3. I’ve had other stuff going on and 4. If there has been anything to write about it’s been just depressing.

toure/rosicky/ade

Kolo Toure says we do not lack motivation at the moment. I wouldn’t be surprised if that just a lie though. Toure I’m sure has motivation, he’s one of those players who’ll fight until the very last minute of the game. However I bet most of the others are a little bit down at the moment. Hell, I can’t even be motivated myself to write a little bit on the site.

We’ve got West Ham on Saturday. It’s been a while since I’ve had a day out to the grove. It will be nice to get back watching the team and things. The game will either do one of two things. We’ll either do really badly and everything will get worse for Arsenal. Or we will beat them well and watch them wave goodbye to the Premiership. It all depends on whether the team decides to show up or not.

I should have more build up to the game to come this week so I’ll talk about it more then. See ya.

True, the defence was terrible against Liverpool. If Senderos was playing in that game, Crouch would not have lasted 45 minutes. Senderos is very physical. I think Gallas should go. Since he came he has being complaining and has being injured.

However Arsene has to bring out those cheque book and make some serious signings. At least three plays; two wingers and a striker. Lehmann should continue still he is 44, only joking but I think he has two more years in him; maybe 1 at Arsenal.

Ribery and Robinho would be excellent. Tomas for £14million, that’s alot of money but he one of our best players. Cesc has to be careful, he might lose his place in the team because I have noticed some laziness about his game recently. I know he is tried but he should be careful. We have alot of good young players at the middle of the pack. Arsene what of the strikers when will they start breaking into the first team.

Diaby should play every game, he is class. He could push us to the next level. He needs to get stronger during the summer; pushing weights. Denilson is good but I haven’t seen him create many goal opportunities. Baptista should not be bought end of story. Aliadere should not be sold; he is the one that has impressed me the most. He reminds me of RVP sometimes very unlucky. If he scores 3 or 4 goals he will be an absolute fantastic player. Arsene cannot let this go.

Striker is a very difficult one. I think someone who can score goals like RVP, Bent, Andy Johnson. Next season we some have six strikers Henry, RVP, Adebayor, Aliadere, Nicholas, and ? I will take Reyes back. I don’t care he is still an Arsenal player and we need a player like him.

Why not mister wenger reconsider Nickolas Anelka

4. Franny Jeffers - 3 April, 2007

Our undefeated Emirates run WILL end against West Ham and we all know it.

Everything that we’ve had left to play for we’ve lost.

1) Carling Cup
2) FA Cup
3) Champions League
4) FA Youth Cup
5) 3rd Place
6) Unbeaten Steak?
7) Champions League Qualification Spot?

I’m defecting to supporting the Arsenal Women and forgetting about the boys.

Franny,

As i said on another site – you are a cock and should defect to anyone but Arsenal with pathetic posts like that.

Go and kill yourself

Yeah, it has become quite odd for Arsenal fans as it is not that interesting watching this team lately.
So many players are missing and it really looks like some of the lads lack motivation.

11. Darzinho - 3 April, 2007

I reckon Aliadiere deserves a chance up front with Adebayor. I reckon anybody would struggle with Baptista!

I really enjoyed seeing crouch do the robot whilst fabregas licked his balls whilst still standing, Boo-ya

CAn I be the first to say that I have absolutely no idea who Wenger should buy in the summer? A team that can beat ManU twice and then play this poorly at the close of the season is pretty baffling.

As a gunner, I’m just going to cross my fingers and pray for the rest of the season. This last stretch is playing out quite a bit like last year, only with our situation reversed with spurs. They started slipping up towards the end of the year last year, and we started winning games in a row. Let’s hope arsenal don’t eat any lasagna any time soon.

My thoughts for the team for the sret of the season: BRing back phil or djourou into defense for some height. Partner diaby and gilberto in midfield (cesc is done this year; you can tell he’s dead on his feet). play ade up front and then use rosicky and freddie/hleb on the wings. bring on alialiadiere on the wings for some pace with 20 minutes to go. He may not be great, but he’s definitely got some speed.

c’mon you gunners!

14. benny - 3 April, 2007

can i say that arsenal fans are the most fickle of all. if you don’t believe me read the above post and comments. you only sing when you are winning. get used to hearing very little from the emirates because i think every team in the premiership has sussed out the secret to beating the gunners. pelt a load of crosses in against the short defence and it will be raining goals all day long. any team that fields no english players whatsover should be relegated… F*ck u arsenal!!!

15. Blog Head - 3 April, 2007

PSV are amazing, I can see how they beat you

16. literaryc - 3 April, 2007

Woo hoo – been supporting Liverpool since I was a child and being part of a girl football team with Liverpool as our exemplar team I’m rooting for Liverpool to do well this season.
