And British moneymen have more in common with American moneymen than they do with your average British lorrie driver.

he’s investing to have a good team. He won’t pump in chelski money, but then again, no one will. that’s a one-off. he’ll put in some money for the club and end up taking a lot more out over the years. he’s not going to fuck with a good thing.

I think solidifying the defence and adding a proven goalgetter to help Henry and Van Persie is the key to Arsenal’s future.

I have read Wenger’s comments that he wants to continue the development of the younger players and not spend to much. But if we could bring in a couple of players (mid twenties) it would really help with consistency. For me. it should be Woodgate and Afonso Alves (I don’t know why more people aren’t mentioning this guy, he is set to beat Ronaldo’s record of most goals in a season in the dutch league) and is just the type of player we need.
