What it feels like to win the league… 25 April, 2007

Arsenal won the league yesterday after beating Chelsea 5-1, away.

Something you don’t really expect to hear nowadays, unless of course you’re talking about the ladies team. Yep the girls have done it again and became champions yesterday. I really do miss winning the Premiership…I hope those days comeback.

Yep there’s really no news today either. Well there is the tragic loss of former Arsenal star Allan Ball. He was also the youngest member of the 1966 England World Cup winning side and he’s died at the very early age of 61. He was one of the good guys in the game and loved a laugh. Sportsmen everywhere have had nothing but praises for Allan and I’m sure he’ll be missed by many.

So apart from that shocking news there’s really nothing new in the world of Arsenal. There’s a bit of transfer speculation about with us apparently looking at Yoan Gouffran. Cesc’s been liked with Madrid again, a load of bollocks so don’t worry. Tony Adams says Wenger will stay for at least another year. And Fabrice Muamba says he will decide on where his future lies at the end of the season.

It wasn’t really worth posting but I thought I might as well. Hopefully there’ll be some decent news around tomorrow. Thanks for reading.

We are being linked with Yoan Gouffran from Caen. He looks a very good player and for £2 to £3 million would be a bargain. He can easily challenge Henry and RVP in the first team.

Take a look at this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-26JEhpMN4

Did I also mention he is only 20.

It was a bad day for old Gooners (Old?? Alan Ball was younger than me.Eek)
Arthur Milton also passed away. He was of the late 40′s/50′s squad and almost certainly was the last person to be capped for England at both football and cricket.
