He’s the reason I started supporting the club, and I’d have to see who we’d get as a replacement before I re-affirmed my allegience. If we hired a cheque-book manager and completely changed the style of play, I’d probably lose interest in the Premier League.
Fabregas is saying that the reason he stays at Arsenal is the mentorship that Wenger provides. It’s not the pay packet, not the fame nor success (or lack of). It’s not the weekly tea-parties at the Hill-Woods’, nor the croquet games with Fizsman. If Wenger leaves, he’d have to consider his options. Imagine if Mark Hughes was brought in; how long would Fabregas last in that environment?
