I think Gallas should leave Arsenal 9 July, 2007

Ever since he’s got here he just won’t shut the fuck up and is always moaning and putting down the team. It’s been a little while since his last outburst so he was due one. Sure enough, he’s at it again:
“What is sure, is that several players are questioning the club’s future. Around us, all the teams are recruiting but what is planned to compensate for the departure of Titi Henry? I am not at Arsenal to play for third place. It is necessary to recruit players of reputation because the young players have many qualities but the season is very long. The young players are thirsty for victories but Arsenal must obtain results to gain titles. If not, one will have to change policy and do the same as the other teams: recruit with more means.”
“I will have a discussion with Arsene Wenger and board members to know the objectives of the club this season and what they wish to set up to build an even more competitive team. Today I am at Arsenal but I do not know what can occur tomorrow. It all happens so quickly in the world of football.”
“I am not at Arsenal to play for third place”….“Today I am at Arsenal but I do not know what can occur tomorrow”…WELL FUCK OFF THEN!
Seriously, I mean it’s fair enough if he’s concerned at the current state of our squad; I think everyone’s a bit worried. But this crap you see quoted above from hi personal website is not the sort of stuff you should go around saying just before the beginning of a new season. Of course we don’t want to come third, but we have to fight and do the best we can. Also this thing about I might not be at Arsenal, well if you’re not committed, go away.
I think Gallas is a quality player, our second best centre-back and one of the best around, but I’ve simply had enough of his attitude. It’s not as if it’s a one off though. The other times I’ve just let it slip but this is pretty much the final straw for me. I don’t really want him to leave so much, our squad could do with as many players staying as possible, but I do want him to shut up.
I’m not going to go on and on about this but I wouldn’t be surprised if he handed in a transfer request soon and frankly, I wouldn’t give a shit if he did. Twat. Not usually like this over current Arsenal players but I hate it when they’re not committed.
Other news is Matthew Connolly has gone to Colchester on loan. I think this experience in the Championship will do him good; I really rate this guy and believe he is a future Arsenal captain. Walcott’s said some good words about the upcoming season and Torres says his move to England was suggested by Cesc Fabregas.
A week since the signing of Eduardo. Another one this week would be lovely. See ya.
