I don’t want to disrespect Derby but you have to say today we have a break from the run of difficult games we’ve had recently. Wenger says he will try and rotate the team a bit if possible, however he doesn’t really have a choice; We picked up two new injuries on Wednesday, Senderos is back fit but Hleb is not, added to that there’s Eboue, Gallas, Rosicky and Lehmann. Gilberto is back from well deserved rest in mid-week; maybe he can be the first person the push Flamini out of the centre of midfield who has been simply undroppable this term.

There are a number of different options Wenger could go with so it’s hard to make a guess. He hinted he might go with Eduardo down the left and that Theo could start. I would like to see Eddy down the left wing, there was a game a few weeks ago where he had a spell there towards the end of the game and he did really well. Taking all things into account I’d go for this starting 11: Almunia, Clichy, Senderos, Toure, Sagna, Eduardo, Gilberto, Fabregas, Flamini, Van Persie and Adebayor.

That is probably completely wrong but what do I know? Today will be the first game I will not be attending at the new stadium since we moved. It hasn’t quite sunk in yet but it will later :( I’m going to try find some pub in Watford with the dodgy European channels that might be showing it.

We should be expecting nothing less than three points today. A draw would be very disappointing and a loss would be unthinkable. A win this afternoon keeps our form going and will keep us nicely ahead of the chasing pack. Mourinho-less-Chelsea face Man United and Liverpool entertain Birmingham.

Have fun all of you who are going…I am jealous. Cheer on the lads for me. I’m off to find this pub. Laters.

but seriously, derby was rubbish. utter rubbish.

I have to say, diarra and denilson both looked good. diarra has very god posession with the ball at his feet. and denilson is very composed on the ball.

walcott remains a very expensive work in progress. I’m not knocking him. but that’s what he is.
