Slavia Prague Preview: Squad Rotation 6 November, 2007

Well don’t expect anything like the last score line. Prague will be just a bit embarrassed about the 7-0 thrashing and will be looking to put things right in front of their own fans. I still think we’ve got too much for them to beat us though. However, we’ve left England with a squad missing 4 of our best players: Fabregas, Hleb, Rosicky and Toure have been rested. Cesc and Alex have been left out purely to give them a break but Kolo and Tomas picked up slight knocks against Manchester United and have been left out as a precaution. Toure will definitely be back for Reading but Arsene cant be 100% on Rosicky’s fitness.
That means there’s the opportunity of a possible start fro Gilberto, Diarra, Diaby, Denilson or Walcott. Theo was a star when he started against them at home and I think he’ll get another chance tomorrow night. At centre back we have the option of Gilberto, Song or Hoyte. There was those rumours that Gilberto Silva has refused to play in defence and if they’re true then I think Wenger will prefer Song to Justin Hoyte who has been linked with a January move to Everton. However I’m expecting to see Gilberto start alongside Gallas at the back.

On the wings I’m guessing it’ll be Eboue and either Walcott or Diaby, depending on whether Theo’s getting another chance as a striker or whether he’ll be out on the wing again. Personally I’d give him another chance up top, possibly with Eduardo by his side. Ade has played a lot this season and he could probably do with a rest too.
So here’s this week’s completely wrong guess at the team…
Sagna – Gilberto – Gallas (c) – Clichy
Eboue – Diarra – Flamini – Diaby
Walcott – Eduardo
That’s what I’d go for anyway with the squad that Arsene’s chosen. That should be enough to cause Slavia problems. Although they will be looking for revenge I really don’t think they’ll cause an upset. A draw is enough to see us through to the knockout stages, and I’d be surprised if we don’t achieve that tomorrow night.
We’re live on…erm…Sky One. Yeah. Presented by Noel Edmunds and Dr Zoidberg from Futurama. No idea what the score will be, but whatever happens I’ll be here with a match report on Thursday. Until then.

1st gun !
Anyone knows where I can watch the Arsenal v Slavia match on a live sky sports stream on PC ?
Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.myp2p.eu/
This site lists all football games worldwide on streams & P2P stuff. Might have to download a few bits like Sopcast but well worth it!
ya i need help like alex, i know the list will be on myp2p.eu/ but i can never get to work. any body with a step-by-step guide, or to be more accurate a click by click guide. inside arsenal had a video guide but it had no sound. Anybody with a guaranteed way. im paying 80 euros a month 2 sky & setanta
download and install sopcast , this is prety straightfoward. Sopcast is better than any other clients. i have been watching all arsenal matches.
i have it rav, but it just doesn’t work 4 me. is it because of vista? ive spent days trying to sort it
Do you use IE or Firefox arsenalviperr ? I find streaming can be a bit temperamental so if it dont work with one browser , try another.
If you have it Sky One (not sports) but Sky One is showing the Arsenal game
i have IE my try firefox. ya im fine for this game its all the others that they dont show
Do you still have confidence in Almunia? Not good for Spain as an international and never will be but good for the Arsenal?
As Myles of ANR described him; he’s the elephant in the room and will soon destroy everything Arsene has built for the past two years.
Bit harsh to say Almunia will destroy everything dont you think. Almunia is a solid but not outstanding keeper. Nothing more nothing less. Personally i would like a top class stopper but they are a bit thin on the ground right now. Those that would demand the no1 jersey are already no1s at big big clubs so its hard to get them. Almunia will do until we can see if Fabianski can be the man. Wenger believes he can.

Almunia is not solid neither is he good. Bring back Jens while we wait for a better GK in the January open. Eventually, if we keep him in the sticks, he will destroy our title challenge. He’s not good as No.1, only fit for No.2 as replacement in case of emergency.
If we keep him, then we might as well forget the title.
there is absolutely no way we should bring Lehmann back into the team, because that would justify his rants and we dont need that.Csec said something important in that the feel comfortable with Almunia yes he springs out of his area often but before i dont think he ever had anyone tick him off like Willy did, rightfully so and i feel his mistakes are predictable where as Lehman is so erratic that i dont think any of his team mates(Willy G included)can pull him to the side and give him a rollicking,so of the two evils i will take Almunia (4now).in tonights team i think they are certain starts for Almunia,Gallas,Song and Berto so i think the team would be as follows..i hope..
Almunia
Sagna–Song–Gallas–Clichy
Eboue–Berto–Diaby–Traore
Eduardo–Ade
and once the game is settled maybe Ade to come off,i would aslo like to see Diarra play in his position for more than half n hour because as much as we want to keep Berto happy i think we need to look into the future and the future is Diarra…
diarra in his position meaning the central midfield not Ade’s position..jus to clarify
Looks like Song’s playing. Gilberto to move into the centre then. Maybe they’ll rest Flamini? He deserves a break.
Diarra is replacing Sagna ar RB, Bert in the middle with Denilson.
Bendtner partnering Dudu, Song alonside Gallas.
