After Cesc’s trip to Barcelona in the week speculation about his move has started up again. I’ve just got used to it now, Fabregas is a special talent and one of the planets greatest prospects so he’s bound to be linked in big moves. It’s pretty well know that Barcelona want Cesc back and manager Frank Rijkaard was asked about him this week:

“It’s one player that stands out most in the football world because of his enormous talent. At his age what he is doing at Arsenal is something impressive. It should be bared in mind that it has become the real leader Arsenal. I do not go searching for any defects in people, but the truth is you do not encounter any.”

He’s right. Last season you could’ve said he doesn’t score enough but he’s righted that wrong very well this year. He’s also great defensively and goes for every ball. However his main aspect is that he controls the game and dictates the play. The only department he is lacking in is his goalkeeping but that can be worked on.

Cesc has recently come out with these comments though saying he wont be a top player until he’s won trophies. These quotes are in response to Alex Ferguson who recently hit out at him saying that he’s not a world class player because he hasn’t won anything. He was a part of that 2005 FA Cup winning squad but that’s about it. Hopefully it’s not too long until he has a few more medals though.

The only other news is that Almunia wont let Lehmann’s comments distract him.

I’ll write up a Reading preview tomorrow morning. Until then.
