We had a mini crisis after the Spurs game when Theo Walcott, van Persie, Phil Senderos and Johan Djourou all picked up injuries but the good news is that Walcott and Senderos are fit for tomorrow’s game against Birmingham. We were going to have use Gilberto or Justin Hoyte at the back as a makeshift centre back but William Gallas will be partnered by Senderos.

Robin van Persie picked up another knock so he’ll be out for this game. I’m expecting Adebayor to start with Eduardo as they did against West Ham; they both scored in that game so I don’t see why they shouldn’t play.

Birmingham, aka ‘Arsenal B’ will be fielding some familiar faces, Muamba and Larsson are set to start against us. Seb Larsson recently scored a last minute winner against Spurs which was fantastic, he’s been talking about his old club and he’s got a fantastic attitude about his move. He admits that he wasn’t going to make it in our side so moved on and got on with it. He says he’s still good mates with Cesc too. I used to like Seb at the reserve games so when he moved I’ve been following him since, he’s found the right club with Birmingham but hopefully he has an off game tomorrow.

Right, he’s how I see the team:

Almunia
Sagna – Senderos – Gallas (c) – Clichy
Hleb – Flamini – Fabregas – Rosicky
Adebayor – Eduardo

Lehmann will be on the bench and it could be his last. He’s going to decide this weekend whether he’s going to move back to Borussia Dortmund. So next week we’ll finally know where Jens’ future lies.

Birmingham are the only team we haven’t yet played and they’ll be no easy task. They’re a decent side and I’m sure they’ll come to upset us. Maik Taylor always seems to have the game of his life against us too. We still should win though, if we don’t take all three points I’ll be quite disappointed and United will have the chance to close us down.

Kick off’s at 3 and it’s not on TV so those of you not going you’ll have to find a stream on the internet to watch it. Enjoy the game, thanks for reading.

yeah pretty sure your team will be correct.
Lehmann, Hoyte, Gilberto/Diaby, Walcott and Bendtner for bench?

I really liked Seb larsson when he was here. I even did a piece in the Gooner about him once. Given the total lack of decent wingers we have had in the squad since he left I still think it was the wrong move letting him go. he is probably Birminghams most consistent attacking player. he is certainly better than Eboue, Diaby and Walcott as a wide midfielder.

wenger says he is now doing more work to develop J hoyte as a centre back. I think thats really good news. I think he could make it there. there isn’t really a stand out third choice for centre backs for us right now, so maybe Justin can step up to the plate. Great if he could. he seems to be on a similar trajectory to Song. they were both nowhere about 18 months ago but have improved and when moved to centre back have shown they are better than people thought.

So you want Gallas to partner senderos? Why not Gallas/Hoyte? Hoyte proved that he’s better than Senderos there. In fact both Hoyte and Song should be far ahead the tall heavy Swiss who can’t jump to head balls with his height. Senderos is crap and should be over by now. Why Arsene keep on holding onto him is strange. How many games does he wants Senderos to cost us before sending him away?

is it just me or is anyone else reasonably gutted about diarra leaving. he’s obviously a head case, but he’s a real talent.

if flamini gets injured, or god forbid, doesn’t sign, then we’re absolutely stuffed. berto is really over the hill now and diaby and denilson aren’ ready yet (as well as not being proper defensive midfielders…

‘frisco gooner, I’m fucking gutted that Lassie’s going away. Fucking hell. I sit on the shitter at night and cry over that fucker’s impending move. I spurt out big, long ones for him, tearfully watch it flush down the gurgler and think – there’s another load of shit that’s left my life forever.

For fuck’s sake, I’m tired – tired of the speculation, tired of the angst, tired of defending the little fucker’s good name when other gooners say he’s a whiny, greedy, spineless little runt. I mean, it’s nauseating for a man with my intelligence, insight, and fucking good manners to have to answer to fuckers who can’t see a fucking good fucker when he’s decked out in a bright red shirt, white shorts and knee-high socks.

Diarra was right in asking for 90,000 to play for Newcastle. I mean, who would honestly want anything less to play for them? Fucking hell, you’ll be partnered with Joey Barton (if that violent thug is ever let out of jail). You’ll be working for…who – Alan Shearer? Mark Hughes? Jose Mourinho (hah!). You’ll be playing for a small club with delusions of grandeur, with players that aren’t at your level, and you’ll be light-years away from the sophistication of London. Who would honestly want to live there?

And ‘chef, Senderos claps like a fucking girl.
