Tottenham 5-1 Arsenal – 22/01/08 – (Carling Cup) 23 January, 2008

Oh dear.
I guess a lot of you will have come here today to read my thoughts on the game and possibly help you see the lighter side of it. However I don’t think I’m going to be much good at that; Gunnerblog has a good piece, as does Arseblog.
A lot of people have told me I’m being stupid being upset about the game, and said, “It’s only the Carling Cup!” Yes, this is true. However a loss against Spurs is still a loss against Spurs, whatever the competition. And 5-1, well that just makes it horrible. Some Tottenham fans will say it wasn’t our reserves, but fuck them; it was, except we had injuries.
Meh, let them have their moment. What was funny was seeing them celebrate like they’d actually won the league or something. Lap of honour, shirts thrown into the crowd…I was starting to think, when are they going to bring out the trophy? Where’s the confetti? Stupid cunts.
I didn’t make the game last night (I have to admit I’m glad I didn’t go), but fair play to those fans that stayed to cheer on the boys through what must’ve been the hardest time. There were shots of Gooners leaving, I see exactly where they were coming from, and I have nothing against them. When that 4th goal went in I got up and put my jacket on in the pub. In the end I did stay to see Adebayor score a great goal for us, against them, again, heh.
Just remember this: 9 long years. Haha! Just wait until Spurs release the DVD of this. And there’ll probably be a chapter in their Opus about beating the Arsenal reserves. Bless ‘em.
There’s nothing we can do but move on from this. It really isn’t the end of the world. Our record is still hilarious against them and I think we all know that if we played our first team we would’ve shown them another lesson in football. The score flatters them too, 5-1 is not a fair reflection on the game but once you’re 3-0 down in a cup game you have to commit forward and those are the consequences.
We went 1-0 after 2 minutes, I wasn’t worried, they always score first. However when they doubled their lead I was quite concerned, but the game wasn’t over, no way. I was hoping we could get a goal back before the break but it wasn’t to be. I really thought we should’ve brought Ade on at the break but we were 3-0 not long into the second 45 and that was a hard goal to take. We had to give it everything and more at this point; I said I’m either going to see us lose to Spurs or witness the greatest comeback ever.
3-0, not completely game over but we had a massive hill to climb. Adebayor and Eduardo came on and they needed to get scoring. They scored their 4th on the hour mark, and as I said I got up to leave, had to be game over now. However Bendtner hit the bar straight away and that goal needed to go in, I couldn’t believe it. Adebayor did score with 20 minutes to go but it was fucking hilarious was watching the Spurs fan shitting themselves that we’d come back. Shows how much confidence they have in their team.
They scored their 5th on the counter attack with the last kick of the game. Really should’nt have been 5 but they did deserve to win. Also, there was a bit of a scrap between Bendtner and Adebayor, I didn’t see it and I’ve heard a few things about spitting and racism but we’ll never know what actually happened. Ade has apologised but I wouldn’t be surprised if Nicklas handed in a transfer request today.
Right, now we move on. We have Newcastle in the proper cup on Saturday and we need to forget about last night. Build up to that one to come. Talk to you tomorrow.
Stand proud Gooners.

you prick
The “scrap” between Adebeyor and Bendtner appears to involve no physical contact(you can watch the Sky footage and there is no clash of heads as the papers suggested).Agree with your sentiments re the importance of the game and their fans celebrations but you have to remember that they haven’t had a sniff of success for years and I remember celebrating the last minute Rocky goal at their place like it meant the World as we hadn’t won anything for 6 years and were on our way to Wembley. What one has to hope is that they don’t go on to win the League two years later like we did in 1988/89.We play A.C Milan in about 4 weeks and a host of other important Premiership games and the F.A Cup on Saturday so the down playing of the Carling Cup only really works if we progress in these other competitions so let’s hope we do and that Spurs lose to Everton or Chavski in the Final of The Carling so we can all remind them of their lap of honour at reaching their first final in 9 years.
…………………………5-1
……..remind me,do you still want one of those Spurs above Arsenal bets?
Smiley, I’ll give you 5-1 odds
Fuck those fucking spuds, hope they all have a plane crash.
Alex………………….5-1
Blog Head………………..9 YEARS!
Jay………………….5-1
I’m starting to dislike Bendtner more and more.
Watch Spurs surge into a champions league spot now. They have turned the corner. They are title challengers. One of the elite. A big club. They will overtake Arsenal.
Now where have i heard that before.
Oh yeah almost every year ! When will they ever learn ?
They did play well last night though. But then again when its billed by their players and coaches as the biggest game of the season (really , was it ? I suppose so if you are grasping at a way of salvaging something from the usual mid table mediocrity of a season)
Enjoy the short lived glory. Buy the t-shirt. There are t-shirts, believe it or not. Definitely buy the end of season DVD. It will be 90 mins long and only 1 game. Enjoy Ramos spending millions for no improvement and leaving for a big club in 2 seasons.
on the radio this morning they played a song realeased by the scum 26 YEARS AGO!!! called we’re on our way to wembley this was because it was the first time theyve ever been able to use it!!!!
theres only one arsene wenger
one arsene wenger
with a packet of sweets
and a portuguese tan
where the fuck is maddie mccann!!
lol
best night of my life last night
we completely humiliated you.
It really showed the gulf beginning to grow between us and the goons
5-1 man that is embarrassing. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
deise gooner you are an idiot if you think since when is finishing 4th an acheivement for any club you muppet. I always thought football was about winning competitions you muppet. and you certainly wont win any of those this year
FTL came up with a great stat that showed if you added up all the Premier League appearances for this season by the Tottenham team, they only had 7 more games than the supposedly younger! Arsenal squad – 153 to 146.
Goes to show Spurs give their youngsters more games in the first team … and that’s not only in the Carling Cup competition like Arsenal seem to.
“best night of my life last night” ha ha ‘Rory’
did you do a sex wee in your pants or did you wait till you got home to have a hand shandy ?
Gulf, there sure is. 27 points isnt it ? Thats double score. We had that tally after 11 games or something.
worst night of your life you dick head running down the seven sisters.
as usual.
Here is another great stat. If you add up all the games spurs have one against Arsenal in the past 9 years or so you cant. Theres nothing to add to 1
oh wait , there is. 1 + 0 =
Lets be honest this article is really poorly written.
What does “but we they did deserve to win” mean?
mmm lets look how many competitions are arsenal going to to win this season=0
how many will spurs win= 1 = carling cup
you’re not good till you win competitions you dick. Last night was your biggest chance to win something in the past 3 years and we dicked all over you.
league doesn’t matter man u and chelsea are going to dick all over you
mmm ok Mystic Meg.
Ye won yer final last nite Rory. Just accept that and get on with it.
Winning a semi final is not actually wining a trophy. Is it ? Or did Gus and Juande have one specially made for ye last night ?
Well man u and chelski are our rivals for the league. Boro and West Ham are yours. For a top half finish. Good luck with that by the way
League doesn’t matter ? You sure about that ? Well i suppose when you have never won it , it wouldn’t even cross your mind as being of any importance.
lets be honest here deise the futures looking much more glorious for spurs than arsenal. you’re “wonderkids” were tested last night and found seriously wanting.
Walcott, Gallas and Bendtner! come on really what were you expecting! bloody hell
come on deise gooner you have got to be joking if you think you are going to be win the league. Man u play as good as we did last night every single match. you have got no chance.
lets face it last night was the end of our season.
I’ve heard it all before Rory. Every season its the same with you lot. I know you believe what you are saying but just because you say so doesn’t make it a reality. Wernt ye supposed to usurp us this season , for sure ? Top 4 Tottenham – do me a favour. Your ‘glorious future’ will be as trophy laden as your ‘glorious past’ All 125 years of ‘glory years’
yes it was the end of your season !
lol u guys just reached the finals!! take a chill pill……
nobody’s won anything yet…. are u guys gonna reach a total tally of 54 points by the end of this season.. i think arsenal will.. o i forgot we already are on 54…
Rory Johnson you’re a fucking idiot.
Best night of your life. Oh dear. Have fun in the fucking carling cup final. Yes, I would’ve liked to be there, but its a reserve team competiton. Jesus. I wonder how many 5-1 tattoos got done today?
Assuming that both sides win their next 6 matches in the league, then st Totteringhams day will fall on the 8th March.
i thought football is about winning things not getting 54 points in the league you dickheads. we have a much bigger chance of winning anything this season than you have you retards. grow up
Oh, and sorry about the “but we they did deserve to win”
I’m so used to writing ‘we deserved to win’ that it just slipped out.
rory .. i told you not to eat those glory glory chocolates they sell at 3 point lane… look whats happened to you!!!! off to bed now….
You are right Rory football is about winning things. Perhaps someone should tell the imbeciles running your club that.
I know they win the odd game every now and then. But to win fuck all in 10 years. No wonder you lose touch wit reality when you reach a final.
Rory Rory Rory. Or should i call you CUNT. Yes i think thats appropriate. Fair enough you won last night and you deserved it. Fair enough you are in a final and we are not. However and this is the big turning point- you were GUARANTEED to go above us i the league and you are struggling to make the top ten. YOu spent 16 million on a striker not even in the squad and you and your pathetic thick uneducated, ugly, useless, worthless, crying, hyped up for no apparent reason fans are so incompetent you actually believe that the gap between the club who are joint top, playing AC milan in the Champions league and who have serious potential to win the F.A. cup are now as bad as the 11th in the league, about to get knocked out the champions league, traveling to some shitty eastern european country and about to lose to chelscunts in the final of an irrelevant, reserve team cup. YOU ARE A CUNT
I think by beginning your post with ” Or should i call you CUNT” gooner you just revealed how stupid you actually are. Thats not witty or clever.
In reference to Darren Bent, he’s injured with knee ligament damage so that statement is not true. Also you spent 12 on Walcott and he is awful and much worse than Darren Bent.
In reference to our “thick, uneducated useless, worthless fans”,last night we sang louder than your gimps ever will and also we saw how bad your fans are when they left with 1/3 of the game remaining. I cant believe you had 7 thousand spare seats at Cashburden for a cup semi final. Even Charlton would have got more fans in than you. Your support is shocking for a supposedly “big 4″ club.
In reference to the UEFA cup, we are in fact playing Slavia Prague, who you failed to beat in the European Cup. Also AC Milan will dick all over your team it is gonna be funny.
Finally all that matters is that we embarassed you last night with an amazing performance, which was only a glimmer of what is about to come for spurs.
5-1 end of story. Spurs merked arsenal.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
well the seats were empty coz of u idiots.. get ur facts right…!!!

lol!!!
Fuckers,
Hoary old Johnson’s a bit of a dick, isn’t he? For fuck’s sake, if MY fucking team won their first derby match in 9 years, I’d be fucking celebrating like a mad fucker on St Fucker’s Day. I wouldn’t be fucking around on a rival’s blog sitrring up shit with depressed opposition fuckers. That fucking spud is right about one thing, though. 5-1 is a fucking caning. Well done to the Tiny Totts.
And ‘chef, good article. Better than Arseblog and Gunnerblog. Succinct. Well done.
Lasagnechef
Thank you for the best article concerning this fucking game!!! Much better than Arseblog’s and much, much, much better than Guunnerblog’s articles.
Bottom line, silverware is silverware.
I am a Gooner through and through, but these players get paid to play. They can get time to develop during other games, not these “high importance” ones.
Also, I am very proud of Ade. He is finally starting to become the player Wegner sees he becoming, but this mightier than you attitude has to stop or at least be punished. He is conflicting with Nick and Eduardo.
Rant mode off, go Gooners!!!!!!!!!!!!
dont give up
……5-1
Arsenal FC: A Team that Never Learns, How Can They…?
Spurs game was very important in every sense and from all directions. From Man-UTD fans here, it was the best gift given to them. To them it more time throwing them a party to see Arsenal loses. And from Spurs, their inferiority complex over years was, with determination broken. And important for Arsenal FC, unless and as usual, refuse to take lessons, had a lot to force into its planning and management paper-work.
A lot has been left undone since the time of Ljumbergs in the areas of playing players who cannot play averagely in unnatural positions. This, as a result, has had serious consequences to the team results. The given reason as giving a player a chance to play would soon prove very costly to the Club in terms of results.
Diaby, for instance, is a serious case. Many instances have shown that he simply cannot play well as winger but a blind eye has been continuously held over the matter. Instead Arsenal FC continues to chose self-destructively and in self-defeating way.
Hoyte could have done well in the first leg, but it is well known that he does not have experience as a center half and therefore no reason to play him there. One and moreover second half game in the first leg is not enough experience to look at and consider. One cannot chose to play against a team that has been playing together for the last five months with experimental players and hope to gain results, more so after possible lessons from the first leg.
In this case, Spurs is one with sufficient time of playing together, which help deal with problems of poor passing or blind passes while it helps to create an effective and working rhythm and suitable combination of the team.
Otherwise for Arsenal FC, the need to play certain players in wrong positions that affect negatively their individual performances, instead, worsens team situation in achieving results as best as it should. What is however disturbing is that Arsenal FC seems to ignore all that while only waiting to pick consolation from after match and preview press conferences.
While looking for a creative central mid-fielder, Denilson would not be the person to call for and worse if he is to be partnered with Gilberto. That would be simply chaotic options to overall team objective. These are, firstly, players who play almost the same way and would down-play attacking objective of the team. They would act like Spurs or opponent spies in Arsenal FC since their influence would work only in favor of opposing forces.
On the special note, Gilberto should never be an Arsenal mid-fielder anymore because his mid-fielder role is below the current premiership trend and/or era, which demand pace and precision of a player. Instead, he could try central defense, which he has evidently proved himself best. It would, therefore, be laughable to continue playing him in the mid-field. Doing so would be inviting foolish outlook for Arsenal FC –to include the fans who never participate in decision making.
Whereas, Walcott cost Arsenal FC a lot of Money anticipated profitability and faith continuous to melt down. He is simply far from first team action as there is a lot for him to learn conclusively before getting himself in the line-up. If you compared him with second-rated Bendtner (according to selectors), Bendtner is by far ready for first team action, miles away in front of Walcott.
There is no reason why Walcott would come first in any premiership game rather than Bendtner. Is it because he is English? Or is it because of pressure by some English activists for Clubs to play English? And should this be at the expense of Club desired performance? I would think that like Bendtner, Walcott too must go on loan and prove him self right for first team.
Yes, truly, Spurs fired at Arsenal so hard that they were taken for undeserved fools –such that more added three minutes of the added three would still give Spurs one other goal, to make it six but thanks to the stoppage time. This, perhaps, would teach the Club never to take any team for granted if they are to expect winning cups. It too could help break its useless pride that hardly transforms self into results or never consistent with pride itself.
Unless no lessons are learnt by Arsenal FC, the future would require serious contesting mind of a team and any young players should never exceed one. Even the young Fabregas then was the only one constantly to play in the first team from the reserve one before establishing himself.
In general Arsenal FC, if it is to mean business, must player players who have consistently been playing together over at least three months. And the other would be for them to replace baseless, like traditional pride with humility, and respect for opponents. Instead, must make attainment of three points every game, the tradition.

Situation Health Analyst.
That was one long load of gibberish in fairness !
i second that!!
I third that. That dude needs to lay off the crack
Fuck off then…And your damn lucky it was only 5-1 because it could have easily been more. Spurs were sprite their defense drove spoiled brat money drunk pricks back the whole game. Admit it and be free-That was just good football. The way Spurs played they could have beaten anyone In fact if they play the same form they can take Man U on Sunday. Then what will your excuse be then eh? Fuck you and Fuck Arsenal!!
Fuck Adebayor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“The first thing Adebayor said to Bendtner was ‘I’m only on because you are so s**t’. He has been on Bendtner’s case for a long time,” a source says in the Sun.
I am so sick of his shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He sucks and it is his time to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
‘a source says in the Sun’ – believe what you will Ryan
“In fact if they play the same form they can take Man U on Sunday.” – thats just it though Mr James, isnt it. They wont play like that again and will most liklely get spanked by the mancs. Dito for the final where Chelski will leave you with nothing to show for your ‘the tide has now turned and we are back in the big time’ performance. That game on tuesday was your cup final. So admit that and you will be free. Free to go back to living in the shadow of the Arsenal.
Yeh Ryan, plus he’s our top scorer.
You know if I’m playing footy with my team I often call my team mates things like “shite-faced cunts” and things just to have a laugh, not because they really have faces full of shite. Maybe Ade was just trying to be humorous? And who knows what he really said you can’t believe what the press writes about it anyways. Important thing is not what happened, but what happens in the future. Adebayor has been scoring all year long so Ryan you must not have been watching much this season but he, Sagna, and Hleb have been our best players in my opinion. It is up to Wenger and Gallas how the team comes back from an internal incident like this. Adebayor has already apoligized, which was the right step. Let’s just hope Bendtner can put on his big boy pants now and suck it up and play. Cheers to a win against Newcastle!
prick!!!
Best bits: Bentner’s goal as we sang when the spurs go marching in.
The arseholes leaving before the hour mark
Adebayor bitch fight with Bender.
The final goal
All the other goals.
Here endeth your season
Best bits
Spurs fans thinking our season is over when we are in 3 competitions – spurs realistically have 1 chance – but will more than likely choke and get spanked by chelski.
.
When in fact it is spurs league season thats over, and we will celebrate St Totteringhams day at the latest on march 8th.
Spurs fans thinking they ‘have turned a corner’ when in fact they have turned so many corners over the years they are just going around in circles at this stage.
Spurs believing Berbatov will stay beyond the summer when in fact Ramos is already resigned to losing him to a big club.
Champagne celebrations by spurs players after 1 win in 22 attempts against arsenal.
Bentdners winning goal at the Grove to take 6 points by of spurs by doing the double on em.
Here endeth your delusions – ok maybe not ….
You did start leaving after 55minutes though. (I imagine YOU switched off the telly…)
Also surely Theo’s stirling performance was a highlight for you.
Were you dancing like you won the champions league after the game ?
I bet you wished you were part of the champagne fun with the players too .
Champagne celebrations – After a Carling Cup semi-final. You are having a laugh right !
DaisyGoon you’re clutching at straws. Personally I had a couple of pints, much more enjoyable than your cup of tea and a bit of a weep in the kitchen.
I suppose the your boys slapping each other and the fans clearing off home early meant your loss was as great as our joy.
(How do you know how you dance when you win the champions league? Its was Barca doing the samba wasn’t it?)
quick comment.
you call spurs fans c*nts, yet you say we deserved the victory.
we were underdogs by a long way
you all say that the “over the top” celebrations were because we beat you? no chance, the celebrations are because we got to the final, i’m sorry but in any competition that is an achievement.
you all call this a “mickey mouse” cup or whatever, yet im sure you wouldnt be complaining if arsenal had gone on to win it.
basically i dont get it. you lose in a semi-final of cup and all of a sudden the usually excuses come out – it was our reserves, we had inuries etc etc, well if u care enough about the loss to make these excuses then why was your best team put out.
if u dont care about this cup, why u so pent up that u lost to us in the semis
basically u all need to grow up
edit:
the above comment was supposed to say
“why was your best team NOT put out”
Clutching at straws. How so ?
I just stated some facts. Ye did dance about like it was the single best achievement your club ever made. But i suppose being so starved of success for so long (10 years is it now ?) , when you over react its understandable i suppose.
Our loss as great as your joy. Na not really. It stung a bit getting beat, like all loses do. We lose so seldom these days though that its kind of an odd feeling.
And as for champions league finals , you have to be in the competition first mate. Having never even played a qualifier , you wouldnt understand !
Carling cup is to blood Arsenals youngsters. Thats been Wengers policy from day one in this competition.
Oh and T
“we were underdogs by a long way”
Point proven right there. Small club.
Now go away and worry about staying ahead of The Toon and maybe catching West Ham.They are your rivals. Not The Arsenal. We fart in your general direction. !
Oh Lordie No – They didn’t do that did they !!!
Oh yeah they have. They have only gone and done it……

Words fail me at how sad this is. ***shakes head in utter disbelief***
totnam scum are so stupid – the dvd, the round-the-pitch celebrations and the fans running onto the pitch after the fifth goal is just stupid. Did u see us gooners running on the pitch after our SEVENTH goals against boro or everton did you. why are they even coming on to a rival website. stupid scum.
gunnerguy are you a retard have arsenal ever beaten spurs 5-1. we dicked all over you and your having a go at our fans. we are passionate about our team and love to see them win comfortably against our biggest rivals. whereas your fans just sit and clap then if losing leave with 1/3 of the game left. you are a dick head who clearly chose to support arsenal because of their success at the end of the 90s and clearly don’t go to any games otherwise you would at least understand why we were so happy on tuesday.
you retard
The DVD is already out of stock…guess this really meant that much to the Spuds
love you spurs. fucking hate you arsenal u scummy cunts!!!
“our biggest rivals”
rivals for what Rory – the league ? The champions league ?
You stopped being our rivals for trophies a long time ago.
Fair enough you got caught upin the game. But its 3 days later and you are still going on about it. this is after you have bought the t-shirt and the mug. I see the dvd is already sold out. Sad
DozyGrunt, you are casting around for chinks of a silver lining to an abject humiliation by your north london rivals in a tie your players boasted was in the bag. If our celebrations eases your pain, I can only wish it worked for your boys who took to fighting amongst themselves and the away fans who were back on the train to Croydon by 90minutes. But they couldn’t turn over to Dancing on Ice like you did could they?
Your research at the Spurs website is comprehensive (do you visit often? Bi or just curious?) but I think the DVD is yet to be produced rather than sold out. I agree the club wouldn’t miss a chance to extract another tenner although not as effectively as your chairman was boasting recently.
Chin Up! Keegan Soccer Circus next. No fighting at the front!
IT WAS NOT YOUR RESERVES FOR FUCK SAKE GET THAT INTO YOUR THICK HEADS. U HAD SEVEN PLAYERS IN THERE THAT HAVE ALL PLAYED IN THE 1ST TEAM THIS SEASON, JUST TAKE IT YOU WERE BEATEN 5-1 END OFF AND WERE RIPPED APART. TUESDAY SHOWED ARE STADIUM HAS A MUCH BETTER ATMOSPHERE THAN YOURS, WITH CLOSE STANDS TO THE PITCH UNLIKE YOURS WHERE IT IS JUST LIKE THE LIBRARY.
Love it how you goons can’t ever accept you were beaten properly funny how it’s only the Carling Cup when you get knocked out as well it was a big trophy when it was the only one you won a few season ago wasn’t it ?? :S
COYS
Spurs Living IN Arsenals Shadow!! :S
seems to me you moved from south london to be near a big club like us highbury the fukin library now you got the immigrants stadium brilliant saw one real fan at the game on tuesday shame the 30 odd thousand spurs fans drowned himout isn’t it either support your team properly or stop writing shit on websites bout being a big club
But we are a big club Alex. Spurs are not. Thats the real reason ye were so delighted with the win. Small time ambition to win the beer cup and sneak into Europe again with the uefa cup. Wheres as we couldn’t give 2 fucks. Wel be in champions league
)
the real reason we spurs celebrated so much is because we trounced a very strong (though admittedly not full strength) arsenal side, to progress to a cup final (yes, the first that our current squad has seen). also, we did it with half an hour to spare. our support was immense, reflecting how much it matters to our fans that we win trophies and beat our arch rivals.
noone is suggesting we will finish above you in the league this season, or that we’ll win the champions league, because, er, we’re not in it, having bottled it and handed the place to you last season. our league campaign is over, and we’re under no illusions about that.
the point is, it was a north london derby, in a cup semi final. you cant honestly say it doesn’t hurt to see your side (however weakened) lose to us by four goals? and we enjoyed that. we relished it.
as its our squad’s first final, the fans and the players were overjoyed, but noone is pretending the result is a cup. to be honest, win or lose in the final, this result, however much you’d like to belittle it, matters more. i was there when we beat leicester to win the carling cup under your old legend mr boring, and i was there when we lost it to blackburn. and neither time was even nearly as emotional as beating you the other week.
here’s why – leicester and blackburn are/were shit. you, on the other hand, claim to be a team of world-beaters. your players come with enormous price tags, and you gooners expect to see them play beautiful, attacking football… but they didn’t, did they? you lost embarrassingly to a team that was an average 3 years older than yours (25.8 to 22.8) – so much for the “youth team” argument then. your starting eleven cost £12million more (full squad, £9million more) than ours. you had one more international player on the pitch than we did. our players had started, on average, only 6 more matches this season than yours.
so really, while there’s no denying that you fielded a weakened team, you can’t suggest that our players were simply much more experienced than yours. if you think that your players didn’t care about the cup, then why did Adebayor nut Bendtner? tempers don’t tend to flare like that in meaningless games.
at tottenham, we don’t have “small scale ambition(s?) to win the beer cup” but rather, large scale ambitions to try to win every competition we’re in. we’ve no chance in the league, we ballsed that up in the first six weeks. we’re out of the FA cup now too.
but what trophies does YOUR new ‘young’ side have to show for its £62million cost?
please don’t make fools of yourselves by pretending this wasn’t a big match. noone’s won anything yet, but you have to be in it to win it… you lot seem to think its enough to earn enough money from TV rights to play your ‘young superstars’, not to win anything.
oh, and about the DVD – come on, if the result had been reversed, wouldn’t you want to watch it again and again? that’s part of the point of rivalries.
£62m??? What the fuck are you on about? Our reserves probably cost about £5m most of which being Gilberto.
[...] though, Tottenham had been psyched up for the game of their lives, and they did it. They beat us 5-1 in one of the worst footballing nights of my life. They were better than us on that night, I have [...]
we cant say we were unlucky, but it was like their first team against our feotuses on a bad day. I hope america accidentaly launch a missile and it lands in white hate lane
