This week the whole team apart from Almunia were piss poor. Played like a bunch of strangers. This team has good players at the moment but no greats to pull us out of the doldrums so we play in cycles and hopefully, we are at the bottom of the cycle which means we struggle to beat dross, have to battle our socks off to draw with mediocrity and get slaughtered by anyone any good.
Our squad players aren’t all that, 2 of our main threats going forward are sicknotes and yet we are still top of the league. Although we are loved by football purists the world over, there is nothing the British football media would like more than to see us crash and burn and at this point those scumbags are rubbing their hands in gleeful anticipation.
My feeling is that we’ll lose out in Milan, just about get the 3 points at Wigan and then with the return to fitness and form of RvP, Rosicky and Toure we’ll pick up a head of steam and be singing our heads off in May.
In Arsene we trust.
