We need to forget about the Champions League draw for the moment, we play in the Premier League tomorrow, which will be a massive game. We’ve drawn our last three games in the League and we need to get back to winning ways if we want to win this trophy.

We lost to Middlesbrough when we went to the Riverside earlier in the season. So we know that the wont be easy. Anything other than a win tomorrow and I’ll be hanging my head for the 4th successive game. Although a draw against ‘Boro wouldn’t really be the end of the world, the way we’re playing in the Premiership at the moment it would really lower our confidence.

The team news ahead of the game is quite good. Walcott & Eboue are back in the squad. Also, we saw van Persie and Toure return last week but Wenger says that this time they are fully match fit whereas last week they were a little behind. The leaves just Diaby, Rosicky and Eduardo out injured then, things are looking on the up.

For once Wenger’s got a few different options for the starting 11. Apart from Rosicky, we’re back to full strength! So it’s just really a decision of Eboue or Walcott on the right wing. I feel Arsene will go for Eboue, I know I’ve said this thousands of times but Walcott has such a great impact coming on as a sub it’s worth not starting him. With Toure back, Wenger has now got to choose whether to stick with the in-form Senderos, or put Toure straight back into the team. I’d go for Toure but I wouldn’t be worried if Big Phil made the 11.

So he’s how I see us lining up tomorrow:

Almunia
Sagna – Toure – Gallas (c) – Clichy
Eboue – Fabregas – Flamini – Hleb
Adebayor – van Persie

No real surprises there I don’t think. Hopefully Eboue can behave and just do his job on the wing and Toure will slot straight back in like he never left.

I’m sitting in a box for tomorrow’s game, I’ve never been into club level or a box before so it’ll be good to see what it’s like up there but I know I’ll still always prefer it in the stands! The tickets are from o2 from that competition my Dad entered, part of getting down to the finalist. It’s in the ‘o2 Blue Room’ whatever that means.

Going to have to leave early again I think, I have work to get back for. Maybe I’ll be able to sort out going to work a bit late…

The game kicks off at 5.15 and it’s live on Setanta Sports 1. However you’re following the game, do everything possible to cheer the boys on to victory. We really need three points tomorrow.

Thanks for reading.

should be walcott not eboue, no reason for eboue to ever play.

2. taye - 14 March, 2008

adebayor is real a player

3. Passenal - 14 March, 2008

Eboue can run at and tire out the Boro’ defenders and Theo can come in and finish them off just like against Milan.

4. Dan - 14 March, 2008

eboue can’t do anything, he is utterly hopeless!!! as well as a complete cheat and emabaressment to arsenal football club, he doesn’t deserve the shirt

5. Bergs - 14 March, 2008

Eboue isn’t that bad. He was quite good against Milan, and as you know, we play better in Europe with a 451 than a 442, which suggests defensive nous is better there. Eboue also had a good game at Milan, but the home ref didn’t help his confidence – plus the goal that wasn’t that should have been.

ok, sorry, this is about the CL, the draw is great, we get to beat pool, chelski and then manpoo or arcelona in the final, fantastic, get your money on us now, and I am not being sarcastic, we are gonna do it !!

I agree with #5 Bergs

I personally don’t like Eboue and he is probably best suited as a sub for full back positions (where he used to be). But at the moment, their isn’t to be honest any real depth in the midfield, especially on the wings.

And although he was suspended recently, i did think he redeemed himself in the next game he played which was the CL game vs milan at home.

8. gunnerguy - 15 March, 2008

i agree with the first thing u said pakkeh but i still think walcott should play

9. EA25 - 15 March, 2008

fucks sake 4 draws in a row but i still think we can win it. hopefully we can bounce back like we did after the boro draw.

10. EA25 - 15 March, 2008

i mean defeat

Walcott all the fucking time, even when he’s injured, even when he’s crap, even when he’s tired and wants a glass of milk and an afternoon nap. Fucking hell, he’s the fucking future of the fucking team, and it’s time he got the fucking game-time he needs. It’s not like we’re not dropping points anyway.

Does any fucker out there know why Arsenal are drawing against these low-rent fuckers? We should pool my money together and hire The Rock to bitch-slap our fucking team up and down the Emirates, until they agree to treat every fucking game like it’s a Champions League second-leg game.

12. Doc - 16 March, 2008

Is Connolly’s Agent’s real name Tim Howard?

13. Oliver - 16 March, 2008

Nah Doc, I think he’s Gilles himself.

14. petit manu - 16 March, 2008

trust in arsene……………….for how much longer?

If arsene contrives to lose us the prem this season from what was a rock solid position in feb then he should hang his head in shame. every man and his dog knew that we needed some steel in the team before the season started but we were left behind again by the likes of man city, spurs, liverpool man utd and chelsea. 4 draws and two embarrassing cup defeats later its all starting to fall into place…… we just havent got the depth, putting all our apples in the “yoof” basket is going to come back and haunt us again. “trust in arsene” is beginning to wear a bit thin and its about time he passed the baton over to someone who can buy quality whilst develope the youth. yes we play great football and the win at the san siro was superb but it all only papers over the cracks, we have 11 worldclass players but getting them all on the pitch week in and week out is impossible whereas chelsea, man utd and liverpool have 13 or 14 worldclass payers so getting 11 out every week isnt a struggle. Sunday may well turn out to be the defining moment in our season as i fear even the scousers will end up hunting us down.

shut the fuck up no one even expected us to finish 4th this season we’ve only lost one all season everybody was doubting us when we lost aginst boro and the next week we beat chavski lets hope for a case of deja vu

17. Connolly's agent - 17 March, 2008

For a doc, Doc, you’ve got a remarkably flippant attitude towards Tourette’s Syndrome. Fucking hell, it’s not all yelling at the fucking baseball and sleeping with Ron Schneider (unfortunately, my only exposure to Tourette’s is through gross-out movies). It’s a fucking serious condition that cripples the lives of many, many unfortunate fuckers. Take that chick from Deuce Biggalo – she’s hot enough to fuck, but she’s untouched because she cusses at every little fucking thing you’d do to her. It’s such a fucking waste of some fucking fine booty.

And no, I’m not Tim Howard, or Gilles Grimandi. I’m the carbuncle on Wenger’s left heel (btw, that’s a fucking metaphor).

18. Doc - 18 March, 2008

Ha. I like you, Mr Agent. You funny fucker.

19. devils advocate - 18 March, 2008

Ea25,
Take your blinkers off, your still drivleing on about we wernt expected to finish fourth………. and your point is?
Wake up numpty, we’ve chucked it away and all your pontificating about deja vu and where we were expected to finish makes me want to puke, its because of idiots like you that our great club has hit a wall, your too scared to speak up and no doubt your one of the pratts that keeps bellowing “in arsene we trust”
dickhead.
