Right, after a rather shit weekend we have to get our heads down and get on with it. It’s a trip up north to The Reebok which was been a hard place to go in recent times. However they’re a different side now, Allardyce’s side used to kick us off the park and nick points off us but they’re not as good anymore.

Anelka’s left for a level of greater cuntishness, Jaaskelainen is injured and Allardyce is long gone. Their ‘keeper often has the game of his life against us so I’m pretty glad he’s out.

What I’m trying to say is, they shouldn’t trouble us. I used to fear Bolton away but we really shouldn’t be having trouble playing up there anymore. After last weekend’s nightmare we really, really need to end this bad streak with a win tomorrow.

Anything other than three points, and we really are in disaster mode. We could really do with a comfortable win here, for confidence’s sake. 3-0 would do the job nicely. It seems perfectly possible, the players wont be happy about slipping up in the title race and I’m sure they’ll want to put in a good performance more than the fans might want them to.

You have to think about the possibility of the unthinkable. If Bolton we to hold us to a draw, of even win, then I think I might commit suicide. I can see Bolton scrapping out a draw too. We need to show that we are The Arsenal and we are better than fucking Bolton Wanderers. If we don’t take all three points then we truly are out of the title race; mathematically it’ll still look possible but the resulting misery from dropping points to Bolton will surely rule it all out.

I can’t actually remember the last time we won. It was against Blackburn, but it seems so long ago. A win tomorrow is vital. I know I’ve basically said this in different ways in every paragraph of this post, but that’s how important a win here is.

Team news. Sagna is out for at least three weeks from that injury he picked up at Chelsea. Fuck. He’s been brilliant for us this season, one player you can always count on. So that leaves us with three options, Hoyte, Eboue or Toure. I’m hoping Arsene goes for Kolo, he’s not a natural right back but he has a lot of power going forward and always does everything he can. That’s mean brining Senderos back into the middle and some people have been saying this week that he never should’ve left. He found a bit of form while Kolo was out but lost his place to the Ivorian, it’s be nice to see him back.

There are no other injuries or recovered players but Arsene has hinted he might rest Adebayor. Wenger said, “He would need a little breather, maybe.” and then said that he has Bendtner and van Persie. I’m going to take that hint and guess that he rests Ade. I was thinking earlier this week that it could be an option. With Liverpool coming up we need him to be as sharp as possible.

With those two changes in mind, here’s how I see the team:

Almunia
Toure – Senderos – Gallas (c) – Clichy
Eboue – Fabregas – Flamini – Hleb
Bendtner – van Persie

I’m still waiting to see Walcott play but I don’t think this’ll be his week, I bet Eboue starts again. Theo might have trouble being pushed around tomorrow afternoon so there might be a tactical decision made there. Still, he’s good coming off he bench blah blah blah…

It’s a 3pm kick-off tomorrow so it’s not on UK television. I’m going to a local pub that has all the dodgy channels, so they might be able to pick it up there. If I do manage to catch the game, there’ll be a match report on Sunday. Thanks for reading, Happy Friday people!

agree with you on the team but if we were going to install some fear into the bolton side we should bring walcotts pace on for their second choice left back but then again arsene has unlimited patience with eboue

oh no, another blogger in lala land

and why not 6:0 ? or 10:0 ?

3. EA25 - 28 March, 2008

thorn
why not? a 10-0 win will give us a greater goal difference than man u

4. Dan - 28 March, 2008

if he picks eboue again i will kill myself and him with it!!!

5. DeiseGooner - 28 March, 2008

I say let lose Theo for the rest of the season in the league. Its time for the lad to get a run in the side to build his confidence and game physique. Himself and Hleb can easily swap sides throughout the game

Almunia
Toure – Senderos – Gallas (c) – Clichy
Walcott – Fabregas – Flamini – Hleb
Bendtner – van Persie

I think we will concede an early penalty. and inte last minute bolton will score an offside goal to equalize.

7. sanfrangoon - 28 March, 2008

I’d love to see either fab or flam given a rest. bring in song or give diaby his shot in the middle. gilberto has to make way for one of the youngsters who have a future with the club.

Please don’t, it would be nice to see you again! ;-)

10. "go", said the bird - 29 March, 2008

Time for big phil ( or as i have heard david o’leary) to move in.

11. FlamBlam - 29 March, 2008

We look absolute shit yet again.

2-0 down at half time and a man down.

Our attackers are toothless, our defenders cannot defend and the midfield just run around playing keep ball until they give it to Bolton.

It’s almost funny it’s so bad.

Diaby’s tackle was far worse than Taylor’s on Eduardo.

12. terrymancinisupportersclub - 29 March, 2008

I was asked on here yesterday “what the f**k am i on about” when i said our midfield wont cope with the weather, tough taclking or the fact its just bolton!! well unless there is a miracle, here is the answer. How much longer do we hae to put up with this shit?

13. terrymancinisupportersclub - 29 March, 2008

Fab, hleb and greedy flamini wont put up with it unless there is some real investment, wengers losing the plot.

14. terrymancinisupportersclub - 29 March, 2008

18. Connolly's agent - 29 March, 2008

Fucking, fucking, fucking, fucking fucking, fucking, fucking, fucking A!

Beating Bolton 3-2 shouldn’t be much to get excited about, but this is fucking brilliant. And I’m not being fucking sarcastic. I’m just fucking happy that we’ve broken our tying run, that we’ve won a fucking game against shit opposition, that we’re still in with a fucking chance at the fucking league. Fucking hell, I don’t care how fucking appallingly we play, as long as we win the next SIX fucking matches, we’re in with a fucking chance of winning. And that’s all any fucker can ask for, at this stage of the season. Count those fuckers down, one by one, win by win: six, five, four, three, two, one!

P.S. I haven’t taken leave of my fucking senses. I realise we played like an banked-up shit-house. I realise we’ve still got a Liverpool triple header and an away game at Man Utd. I realise Ronaldo is as awesome Flamini is ugly. Most of all, I realise that this Premiership is Man Utd’s to lose, and they NEVER lose. Still, fuck me hard and proper, Arsechums, because I’m a happy little fucker tonight.

19. MOK - 30 March, 2008

I am ashamed, I turned the radio off when we were 2-0 down and a man down and thought there was no way back. Then I got text message from a mate to say we were drawing 2-2 and turned back on. What a finish.Hope this is a big turning point in our season!!!!

20. Connolly's agent - 30 March, 2008

Mok, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Even a fucking rock-solid stoic like me can get pissed off at Arsenal fucking it up. I was fucking depressed after we lost to the fucking Chavs, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I broke down like a little girl and cried for my mummy. In fact, I’m proud that I’m so fucking into Arsenal that I regress into a latent infancy when things don’t go the way of the Arse. I’m like a fucking Bizarro Incredible Hulk, in many respects.

Therefore, DON’T apologize for your cowardice. You just so fucking love you side that you can’t bear to see us lose. Be proud of that. Your emotions are what makes you the unique, charismatic, amazing fucker that you are; your emotional honesty is what makes you a worthy gooner. You are who you are; and who you are rocks like fucking shit. Never lose faith in that.

21. Kelly - 30 March, 2008

MOK, i am the same sometimes, my nerves, i just can’t take it, i pace around the house like a lion in a cage, on goes the radio, off goes the radio, i click fricking refresh every 30 seconds on the bbc updates, even tho’ they update themselves! i have to do something, yet i don’t know what to do with myself, if i watch sky sports at the gym, my pulse shoots up really high v.quickly. the only time i can really handle it is when i go to home games and i can sing my heart out and shout and be with everyone else! Then i feel like i can support the team to win, if not i feel like an useless piece of emotional energy. cry when they lose, cry when they win.

Connolly – u fucking fucker, u fucking crack me up! And you have made me feel fucking better for being a fucking passionate arsenal supporter! I thank you.
