I don't think it's anyone's fault that Cesc minces about like a little girl. He's perfectly entitled to it, and I don't have a fucking problem with him prancing about like an effete fairy. It doesn't diminish my respect for him one iota. What I DO have concerns about is his ability to inspire other players with that kind of body language. I'd think the lumbering, purposeful slouch of a Gerrard, or the thuggish criminality of a Terry would be better able to inspire footballers to feats of footballing fuckery.

Cesc's photo makes me feel strange. It makes parts of my body move wierdly without my control. I'm a bit worried about it. Tell me, is it my fault or is it Arsene's? Cos if I could get him to sort it out it'd really help cos I'm SUPER busy at the moment

This season, we've seen the difference between exclusively recruiting in the 0-10 million pound bracket, and recruiting in the 10+ million pound bracket. Wenger, whom I love like Buddha, buys only from the first, whereas Ferguson buys from the latter. And this season, we've seen the disparity between these two types of player.

A cursory look at Arsenal's current side:

1. In RvP, we've a striker with exceptional technique, but incredibly injury-prone and hot-headed.
2. In Adebayor, we've a striker with great athletic ability, but who isn't a natural finisher.
3. In Rosicky, we've creativity, technique, skill... but injury-prone.
4. In Hleb, we've get technique and ball-retention, but not much vision.
5. In Flamini, we've a guy with a high work rate, but who is incredibly, incredibly ugly (c'mon, if Ronaldinho was too ugly to play for Real Madrid, why do we accept ANY LESS for Arsenal?).
6. In Cesc, we've got the lot, but as that photo shows, we've also got a 20 year old midfield capo who runs like a little girl. There's no way you can inspire men with a gait like that.

For Generation 3, Wenger has had to economize his buys because he hasn't the money to buy complete, world-class players, and because no one can reliably pick up a guaranteed complete player aged 16. He can only target players with ONE skill set (usually technique), and hope like fuck that their weakness can be masked by the rest of the squad.

To look at what 10+ million gets you, let's look at Man Utd:

1. Ronaldo - brought for a huge sum, but who had pace, technique, athleticism, flair, and a body that could be buffed until it became bullet-proof.
2. Rooney - physical, great vision, great drive.
3. Anderson - the complete package

Now, the difference is that these players were bought at inflated prices, but they all have/had the potential to become complete players, with the technique and ball-skills to compete with the best, and the physicality to express those skills in England. They are players who can play at their best, regardless of selection or formation, because they don't rely on other players to cover for their weaknesses. Our guys, because they have these weaknesses, rely on each other to a greater extent. Therefore, they've got to play with each other all the time, to learn each other's idiosyncrasies. Therefore, we've a small squad. And because we're also injury-prone (no other big club would touch Rosicky, after all), we're in our current predicament.

There is something very wrong if Theo dosnt get a staring place in the team now.

With Diaby out for 3, Rosicky out for most likely the season and Eboue being a cunt, Walcott should be given the chance to play - he has changed a few games this season and putting him back on the bench should not be an option.

staying up for match of the day or what! how sad does that sound. Anyway, so pleased for the lads. I never had a moments doubt of course, they just needed me to go and make that curry for 40 mins to allow them to concentrate. Pleased for theo, confidence is all to the boy but he's gonna terrorise defenses for years to come.
