Confusing title, maybe, but these are the words from Alexander Hleb and Emmanuel Adebayor today. The Belarusian has been linked with a move to Inter recently and now his agent has said he is definitely going:
Alex is preparing to make one of the most important moves of his life. He is leaving even though Arsenal want to offer him a new long-term contract.
Only time will tell if it is the right decision but there’s no way back now. Everything will be settled in the next two weeks.
Fucking hell he’s not letting us down easy is he? Not like, “His time at Arsenal has come to end and, Alex is keen on a new challenge…etc” What a wanker. In today’s press conference, Wenger said that he has never received any interest from other clubs for Hleb and he has never heard anything from the play himself asking to leave. It all seems a bit strange to me, whatever, we’ll see how it goes. I’m not really that bothered if he leaves; I was more worried about Flamini. Wenger says he’s under contract; he’s definitely staying, but his agent says otherwise.
Adebayor has also been ‘linked’ with a move away. Basically, someone made up a story that he wants more money, or he’s off and it’s absolute bollocks. Wenger admits he has no idea where this idea has come from. This afternoon we heard from Ade, and he’s described it all as ‘rubbish’. However, he does admit he’s upset that we haven’t won anything and he’s desperate for trophies.
In other news, Wenger says Jens might retire and Rosicky will miss Euro 2008. Arsene, like me, has said that he’s not bitter over Flamini’s departure saying that he always gave 100% and was a true professional, pretty much what I said the other day. Good luck Matty.

I read the prematch press conference and is really funny to read on what has been suggested that Hleb may employ the new Webster clause and buy out his own contract.
Wenger specifically said
“That is not as simple as it looks,” retorted Wenger. “And you should not forget that what players can do to us we can do to them.
“The Webster clause is not easy, you can’t come in next day and buy out. There is no rule that says what it is all about.
“You have to go to a tribunal and then to FIFA and if you don’t agree with FIFA [you] have to go to ACAS. It takes a lot of months. And you can be banned for the whole period if it is not done in a proper way.”
This is what I want Wenger to be. He needs to be a bit like SAF.
im sick of it the same old story every summer. normally it starts in june when everyone is on holiday. its started earlier this year. dont threaten to report them do it. maybe if we had the balls to stand up for ourselves europes cash rich clubs would go and try and tap up liverpools, utd’s or chelseas players. I am also sick of this yearly fight to keep our players. As said above, why does not happen to Chelsea, Lpool or ManU. Is it because these teams have won trophies in the last 3 years or is it money? One day Cesc will join his friends and leave for a huge pay rise.
We need to be tougher with players and agents. Even Diarra managed to force a move after only a copule of months. I can’t imagine a player on a long contract doing the same at ManU or Chelsea.
We need to add to what we have but we are finding ourselves rebuilding yet again.
i believe for hleb to buy out his contract there must be a mutual understanding between him and the club.but if he insists on going then the club should actually let him go coz he aint no lionel messi.

Calm down fellas. If Hleb does leave then Wenger has had enough of the bullshit from either him or his agent. Dont forget Hleb met with inter reps in milan. If that was initiated by Hleb’s side then Wenger wont look kindly on that. And even though he says he wants to keep Hleb he will sell him. Why would he tell the press , “yes im offloading Hleb” Clubs would want him at a knockdown price.
Its all part of the game. Wenger plays it better than most. Dont believe the press hype fellas.
Hleb shouldbe sold but at a good price. Inter Milan will not ditch us. They are playing Emirates cup and no club would like to be on the wrong side of club like Arsenal and a Manager like AW. Even we can do the same with their Star players.
I even dont want to see Hleb in the first team next year. Ideally like Adebayor he should have come out and said that all his agent is speaking is fkin shit.
He deserves the right treatmnt just like what Wenger says – Complete ban for one period. That wold be the best ever. I heard that even the FA in Belarus is not happy with his & his brothers attitude.
Swap Hleb for Chivu, bot have a few years on their contracts, Hleb wants to go to Inter and Chivu has said in the past he would like to work with Wenger at some stage in his career.

If the Ade story is true I say fuck off; ironically it needed Henry’s departure for him to “shine”, I believe with his departure, Bendtner will shine; certainly Nick is a lot less a waster of chances once his confidence picks up than that wanker Ade. I say go join Flamini Cole at Milan if they are dumb enough to pay you 80k pounds a week. I think we should sign Hunterlaar and a strikeforce of him and Van P would be awesome with Bendtner and Walcott making up the 4 strikers that we need. Alexander Hleb Cole should go with my blessing; if he really wants to go but we make his stay he will just go through the motions on the field and hurt us. As for Flamini….we all know what Cole was up to with the Chavs but still Flamini lost his place in the Champions League Final to the worm. Flamini played left back in a competition where Arsenal kept a record 10 clean sheets and then gets dropped for a third rate left back.
At least he saw his contract out and good luck to him in the future!!!!!!
