It was very evident that the problems still persist. We had to pass the ball into the net once again, and when faced with any shot further out than 10 feet, we missed. Horribly.

When faced with a better side (with better defenders) we won’t get the chance to pass the ball into the goal. We are in desperate need of a holding midfielder, but we’re also in desperate need of SHOOTING PRACTICE! I mean comon! Adebayor wants the same pay as Henry, but can’t even score if his life depends on it. WTF is going on?

SHOOTING PRACTICE PLEASE!

I think, if Cesc Fabregas and Nasri can continuously play (without facing any injury rest of the season) together, it will be a huge boost for us. Both are talented and creative to make chances and set up the long strikers. I think, Adebayor should remain as our prime target man, while Bendtner can be brought on as substitute. I am just desperately waiting to see Eduardo coming back as early as possible. That would definitely make our attacking line up stronger. In fact, Eduardo is a talented striker. RVP has not been at his prime so far, but as you guys said, I also hope that he does not face any injury and remain fit, because I know he can get better with time progresses, if he keeps himself away from injury.

Dave,

If we really do those things you ironically said, you’ll be sorry you ever had a go at your own team like that. They put on a fine performance so it helps a little if we all accept it.

And Nasri is already doing what Hleb had a few seasons to do, scoring goals! That’s what we badly need from the midfield.

At least buying Nasri should be something we all agreed on as one of Wenger’s right decision.

You should’ve mentioned something about how sh*t Bendtner was last night. Scoring that goal i guess was his saving grace.

Nearly every time the ball went to him he would miscontrol it and give it away. I think it was around the 65th minute when for probably the first time in the match the ball went up to him and he managed to bring it down and control it and then pass it to another player without losing it. and the crowd mock-cheered him for that!

I was thinking that when Rooney or Tevez get the ball, Man U supporters must be thinking “right what are they gonna do with the ball thats gonna get us a goal?” I’m afraid to say that when the ball goes up to Bendtner the thought running through my mind is “will he control it without giving it away?”

Absolutely dismal performance by him.

Nice morale boosting performance by the lads last night. To me Djourou and Gallas looks a better combination than Gallas and Toure. Cesc is the total heartbeat of this team. i dont think theres anyone in the world right now who can dictate the pace of a game like The Cesc can. Nasri is settling in nicely. some nice touches and turns from him and took his goal well. Sold the 3 defenders a right dummy in the build up. Theo will blow hot and cold, thats to be expected, hes only 19. Facing goal with the bal;l ahead of him or at his feet hes great. Back to opposition goal trying to hold up or turn with the ball is where hes still lacking. Consistency is all thats missing from his game. Nic worked his socks off and deserved his goal, looked like nothing was going right for him all night. Denilson is not quite there yet, has promise but needs to learn hes not Cesc so just do the simple things.

Everything’s fine. We’re going to win the league and probably the champions league too. Nasri will no doubt score 28 league goals this season and we certainly don’t need any new midfielders. I am of course being ironic. Winning one match doesn’t eradicate any of our problems just as losing one does not put us on crisis alert. Glad to see some perspective returning to this fine blog which recently has more closely resembled the likes of Le Grove, which is shite.
