Proof things can get worse: Cesc & Theo out of City game 19 November, 2008

You thought things were pretty bad? Well it just gets even better: Theo Walcott has dislocated his shoulder in training with England and will be out for three months. Just fucking great. The one player we have that looks half decent game to game and actually creates something is out. For three months as well!
It’s quite ridiculous really. Arseblogger today has been talking about how we should get some sort of compensation for this from the FA and what a stupidly timed friendly it is in the first place.
Theo has established himself in our starting 11 this season and has done good things for us. So now we’re going to find out how much he’ll be missed It’s got so bad, were actually hoping Eboue is going to be fit again to play this weekend. It’s that bad people.
With Cesc Fabregas picking up another yellow card this weekend we’re also going to be without him this weekend. He’s not been in great form but he still does come out with fantastic passes from nowhere and we will struggle without him. With him + Theo out, that’s two of our most creative midfielders gone and only really new-signing Nasri who looks good enough to step in but he has been quite inconsistent. We’re going to need a top performance from him on Saturday.
I just don’t think it will happen though. I doubt there’ll be much spirit in the side when they return to Arsenal. Why should there be? As Wenger said there has been no rehabilitation time for the players this week and he’s got a lot of picking up to do once the internationals get back. Man City might be a side for the future with their recent investment but they’re not up there yet; why would our players be inspired for this game when we’ve dropped our heads already so many times when we just don’t feel like it?
Am I worried? Yes.
Do I know the solution? No.
Bad times for Arsenal at the moment. That Man United victory seems so distant now. Sorry to go all depressing! Speak to you soon.

for gods sake play the youths who beat wigan and sheffield end of problem we have a chance
will you shut up about “Bad times for Arsenal at the moment” get use to the following:
1. Arsenal will not win the league for at least 2-3 years
2. Arsenal will not spend big with the huge debts incurred building a new stadium
3.Young gunners are investment’s to sell on at later dates like rvp, cesc, vela, bendtner, eboue etc to relieve debt
4. Arsenal are soft, the manager is soft and the board aren’t forward thinking – to look for new investment hence david dein and red and white holding
5. high ticket prices to mugs like you who go watch in delusion.
I’ve gotten use to Arsenal fans bitchin like girls, about how bad our football is. true fans get a reality check and live with it
Arsenal fans stop bitchin
In seasons past I’ve been in the “we don’t need major signings” camp. As far as I’m concerned, some major work must be done in the January transfer window. By major work, I mean signing 2-3 experienced players, some of whom have strong leadership qualities and at least one of whom is a “big name”. We obviously need a world class DMF. Denilson, Song, and Diaby are not world class nor are they defensive midfielders. Do we need a big/strong CB? I’m not so sure, D’jourou has looked good when given the opportunity. Now, in terms of signing a “big name”, a player that is “big name” usually earns that title for his skills on the pitch. I also think signing a “big name” player boosts the club mentally. Signing a well know world class player creates a winning mentality within the club as it reinforces the idea that Arsenal is a “big club”.
Erm… am I the only one who is glad Theo is not playing? He has been useless for some time now. It will be good to see Ramsey and Diaby play in Cesc and Theo’s places.
i think its a blessing in disguise that walcott is injured, wenger can now bring in a creative winger.walcott has not been that good.denilson is also very poor defensively
im glad theos out… what has he done for us…nothing. just over-rated sometimes i feel we play with a man short.
People will be quite surprised to hear this but i’m actually looking forward to seeing this game….
It will shed some light on quite a lot of things..
1.Can we do summing wiv out Cesc in the side
2.Can Wenger finally play the youngsters Rambo and Jack
3.Are the youngsters ready to really step up
Wat would dampen my hopes really would be to have Wenger play Song and Denii in the middle….ohhhh damn this will be our line up actually..
____________Almunia
Toure__Gallas__Silvestre__Clichy
Nasri___Denii__Song___Diaby
_________Van Persie
_____Adebayor
oh it doesnt seem to bad on paper thought would have Diaby in the middle Nasri on the left and Rambo on the right…..but thats jus me
Eboue to be new El-Cap-pi-tan !!!!!!!!
………….we’re shit and wont win fuck all, quit your intellectual bullshit and see the bigger picture, we’ve been delouding ourselves about how big we are for the past 4 seasons and until we bring this era of ineptitude to an end we will continue to slip into mediocrity. Champions league next season? WAKE UP!!
