I’m so sorry, couldn’t resist.

Cesc Fabregas has been talking to the media at the opening of his soccer school in Barcelona and he’s said he is still hoping we can win the league:

“I believe in miracles. It has happened before in football so why not this year? But it is going to be difficult. Right now we have to think about catching Chelsea and then we will think about the others.

But what we have to think about is winning the eight games we have remaining.”

I guess he’s not wrong. We’re currently 10 points behind Man Utd but Aston Villa has shown us recently how quickly a lead can be lost if confidence is lacking. United have just lost two on the bounce – a humiliating defeat to main rivals Liverpool and a shock 2-0 loss to Fulham. Next up they face Villa who aren’t in great form themselves but have shown they are a good side. So who knows? Miracles can happen and if we do everything we can to put the pressure on, you never know.

Cesc has also been praising new signing Arshavin. What a combination that’s going to be – Cesc Fabregas and Andrei Arshavin. Mouthwatering.

The News of the World has been trying to stir things up this weekend and there’s really nothing more to be said than this. Load of shit story not even worth me linking it to you. End of that.

Some of our stars were in action this weekend for their countries, Adebayor and van Persie both netted for their nations. Nicklas Bendtner was also involved but there’s bad news as he went off with a knee injury. It’s a shame because he’s had a decent run of games recently but with Adebayor now back I guess it’ll be a straight swap for the weekend. Arshavin played 90 minutes or Russia, as did Gallas and Sagna for France. There’s no more big news from our other players in action but if anything comes up I’ll fill you in.

Mark Randall has said he might have to leave Arsenal in order to gain first team football. He’s said that he would prefer a loan but I have a feeling with all the players we have at the moment Mark will have to wait a very long time before he becomes a regular in the Premier League or Champions League. We’ll have to wait see what happens to our reserve team captain, I would be surprised to see him not go on loan or move on completely next season.

Well that’s it for tonight. I’m back in London now for a couple of weeks and I’m already itching to see Arsenal next weekend. We’ll start to get some sort of idea on team news in the week.

See ya.

Love this article!
I was soooooo sick about the British media running the “spit” & “he’s leaving” stuff over and over…
It’s so nice to hear from our side, show our support and faith in our captain and our team.

Ade also missed a penalty for Togo…or so i hear. I also hear that Bendtner only got a knock and i hope thats all it is because i cant stand Adebayor and his attitude this season.

Same goes for Randall. He is imo in the same mould as Bentley. Both have obvious ability but their inflated egos and general prick-ness overshadow it. All his shite and needless flicks in stupid places, lack of physical presence and willingness to shoot for impossible places with others better placed will all lead to him being sold and probably ending up at spuds. Add to that his apauling disciplinary record and he is destined for the championship.

Lets just boycot the offending papers. They are determined to get another sculp of arsenal captains. when will we gunners say enough and fight back.

If Fab gets three weeks of stick for a suspected spit, how come there is no coverage for Gerard’s thuggery or Rooney’s petulance in front of all the cameras?

Winning our last 8 games is the most important thing – if we do that then we will be in CL next year – I thnk 3rd place is poss if Chels slip up, but Man u and L’pool will probably be 1st and 2nd.

The fact that we have all three to play is a very good thing in my opinion – but if we don’t perform then we could lose everything – we are not safe yet. But good to see Cesc is confident!

Yes, i just wish there wasnt this constant cloud about when he’s going to leave. He should give a dat otherwise every transfer window its the same shit and he never fully commits. He always adds – you never know – on the end

The interlul has football ‘journalists’ scrambling for sensational headlines and ‘exclusives’ to sell copies of their rags or generate clicks on their papers websites. They story about cesc contradicts itself a number of times. In fact the piece about cesc saying the newspapers are on a witch hunt against him is comical. Anyone see the irony in a paper on a cesc witch hunt reporting that said player is complaining about being witch hunted??

Oh I see on arsenal.com that Fiszman has sold a third of his shares to Kronke. Get on over there for more info!
