Quick update; I’ve had a shit day 11 June, 2009

A number of things have gone wrong for me today including most recently my MacBook charger deciding it wasn’t going to charge my laptop. Next to the little battery icon it just says ‘(Not Charging)’. Why?! Why are you not charging? It knows it’s plugged in because it’s come up with this message so what the fuck is your problem?

It seems the world is against me today, nothing truly bad has happened just a sequence of frustrating events have put me in a bad mood. I sat down to write the blog a little while ago and now this, the battery’s got a little bit of life left so I’ll bring you up to date.

I guess the top story today has nothing to do with Arsenal, it’s Cuntiano Ronaldo’s £80m move to Real Madrid. He’s not gone yet but the fee has been agreed etc. Without thinking about the footballing side of things just yet, that is a ridiculous amount of money for a football player. Now Man United have all that cash to buy whoever they please. They could easily get three top players with that cash and will no doubt be a strong force next season.

Madrid broke the transfer record earlier this week after agreeing a fee for ‘Kaka to move from AC Milan, now today they’ve smashed it again. I must admit I will be pleased to see the back of Ronaldo; but I do worry what United will do with all that money.

We had a few players in International action this week. I watched Theo play 90 minutes for England last night in their 6-0 win over Andorra, he was energetic and desperate to make an impression. He ran after a lot of last causes and troubled the very weak Andorran defense. I was hoping he might get a goal and he almost did about two minutes in but it wasn’t to be. He had a decent game but it was really a warm up for the U21s tournament he’ll be involved in this summer.

xabi-alonso-cesc-fabregas-spainCesc Fabregas had to be taken off at half time in Spain’s win over Azerbaijan with a head injury. It came after a clash in the penalty area and although it has been confirmed on Arsenal.com there’s still no time frame on the injury. I’m not worried it’ll be enough to put him out of our preseason but I am kind of hoping Spain leave him out of the Confederations Cup. It’s a long shot but it’d be good for us. Cesc has also confirmed his intentions to stay with us this summer.

Andrey Arshavin and Robin van Persie we also involved in international action, the Russian getting an assist in his game.

Right well I’m going to leave you now. I need to chill out and get a beer before I do something stupid like chuck my laptop across the room. If any Mac-heads know what my ‘(Not Charging)’ message is about, let us know please.

Cheers.

It sounds like a problem with your PMU. I’d take it to an Apple Store just to get it checked out. That’s the message that you would usually get if there is some charge coming in but its not sufficient to power the computer AND charge the battery.

try taking the battery out and putting it back in

try turning ur mac off, leave it plugged in over night, and then it should be fine, sometimes the voltage isnt powerful enough to charge when the mac is on

By the way Robin did get an excellent assist as well to Arjen Roben.
It was a beatiful turn inside the box and he sliped the ball to Roben who made no mistake.
Glad to see Robin playing well and staying injury free. All we need from him is to sign that damn contract.

Robin van Persie also got an assist against Norway.

Reckon a lot of the Ronaldo money will go on debt relief. Who are Man utd going to buy to replace Ronaldo? In terms of his contribution to man u as a team for the last 2 seasons there’s noone man u could buy to even get close. Ribery won’t play in England, maybe Real will swap Robben, Sneijder or Huntellar but those players won’t win you titles. Man U are such a big club perhaps they will recover but I think the end of the Ferguson era is approaching.

The first rule of dealing with laptops: don’t spill beer on ‘em, second: don’t use ‘em when your hands are shaking.
As far as Ronaldo deal is concerned, let the bitch boy go. ManUre will not be able to find an adequate replacement for him, Scholes, and Giggs. They’re going down, most of the money will go to cover the debt and the ever-aging squad will go down the shit hole. Chelski and Liver will be our main threats next season.

Turn off MacBook, unplug from wall, remove battery, hold down power button for 5 seconds, battery back in, connect to wall and try again. Let me know if it works or not :)

Firstly, open your window. Then carefully throw the laptop out of the window. Then proceed to the fridge and drink like crazy….

Seriously, good luck. Apple store is the place if the turning off doesn’t work

Glad to see the thick-necked greasey tosser has left our shores also. Utd might get £80M, but it will be in installments, they think £20M pa, so unless they buyt a player/s on the same terms, then they’re no better off than us this next season. The Glaziers will want a wedge to service their £600M debt. I heard they paid no interest on it this year.

Adebeyor to Manchester united £22 million, my mate (honest) was in a top nosh diner last night in Wilmslow and saw Ade with two men, one of whom was apparantly uniteds top lawer and my mate heard them say “its a deal at 22″.

Remember where you heard it 1st…..
