Possible leaked 125th anniversary home kit pictures – 2011/12 20 March, 2011

I did previously link to another leaked photo but it now looks like our new  home kit could be this. Emphasis on the word ‘could’, I have no idea how genuine these are but they look pretty real to me.

If this is the real deal, I guess i like it but I doubt I’ll be buying it. It’s too similar to our current shirt (which I love) and I don’t really see the need to spend £50 just to get a shirt that has got some leaves round the badge. It’s nice, don’t get me wrong but I dunno I kind of expected something a bit more special. It says ‘Arsenal’ though so I guess that’s all you can ask for with an anniversary kit.

I guess we’ll get confirmation on the new kits in the summer but until then this might be what we’re wearing next season. It would look good with some red and white stripy socks and matching gold Premier League patches on the sleeves…

As for the away, well Arseblogger said on his twitter that the new away could be based on this blue lightning kit from 1995:

That could be interesting! I had that kit when I was a boy with Wright 8 on the back so I’d be tempted to get that again over the home. We’ll see ay.

Tomorrow is the first day of the international break, our players will be jetting home to reunite with their national teams. It might be awkward but remember to keep those fingers crossed for two solid weeks in the hope that we get no more injuries. News is going to be pretty slow Arsenal-wise so I’ll try my best to keep the site updated in the meantime, but I guess no news is good news.

Feel free to spread these photos to your friends using the Facebook and Twitter buttons below. Also if you missed it my write up from my trip to West Brom yesterday is here. Thanks for reading.

It seems good, if I have money, I’ll buy one. I’d be interested in the away kit.

2. VanDaManPersie - 20 March, 2011

I am not spending another penny towards a club that doesn’t give back to the fans.

Let Arsenal spend before we start buying anymore kits. Go buy a the right players before we buy another kit

eve - 20 March, 2011

ah shut it you misserable git

Joachim - 21 March, 2011

He’s right.

3. jo - 20 March, 2011

No chance that will be the away kit.

lasagnechef - 20 March, 2011

Haha maybe not, but Nike have got a few lightning kits out at the moment. You never know!

4. Gooner Cris - 20 March, 2011

I think they should make the 125th home kit a little bit more unique then putting the stuff around the crest.

5. Mike T - 20 March, 2011

That’s a fake based on previous leaked images. You can see the badge doesn’t look quite right (compare to other images of the badge)and also it says 125 anniversary (as opposed to 125th Anniversary). Looks like a dodgy chinese fake to me.

6. alan morris - 20 March, 2011

the club make substantial investment in players and i will consider it

7. lasagnechef - 20 March, 2011

Yeah I did notice those slight things with the badge but thought I’d share it anyways.

8. bob mcnabs cat - 20 March, 2011

9. j .bridgeman - 20 March, 2011

Im not spending, till arsene starts spending.

Gunner for life - 21 March, 2011

Preach!!!!!!!!!!

10. James Kirkup - 20 March, 2011

Could be but the type in the badge is too close to the cannon, looks like a proper fake for now

11. athlon29 - 20 March, 2011

I’d be happier if those players left the team who are not at Arsenal in 100% mind and heart. Diaby, Denilson, Bendtner and Rosicky are all included. We’d be even further if Lansbury played for the club.

12. Savage - 20 March, 2011

I’m not sure how we ended up with all these Spurs fans on the post.

Gooner supporter here, looking forward to seeing the final shirt design.

13. eric morley - 20 March, 2011

fuck them and there jerseys they change them every year and still win fuck all buy u clown wenger before i steady yere books.

14. Am - 20 March, 2011

We should go without sponsors for next season on the kit.

I think that would be striking and a difference. Not sure the sponsors would except but, who cares this would give us a good excuse to get out of their shit deal and get a new one.

15. Jarsenal69 - 21 March, 2011

What a bunch o Wan**rs “wont spend till club/AW spends maybe you should start looking at other teams to support…

16. Stian - 21 March, 2011

It’s not the new home kit. The new away kit will be navy blue and green, just as the one pictured, but with another design. Cheers

17. stu - 21 March, 2011

My xmas present is always an arsenal shirt so i dont mind!!!

18. F u - 21 March, 2011

Luv u silly f@cks beefing ur support with ur rubbish definition
I for one wont be spending anymore cash towards wengers vision or payin certain players wages
F@ck that my support until the club begins to act in arsenals best interest will be souly vocal

19. danj - 21 March, 2011

i believe that my kits have the mental strenght and belief to sell quite well… so il be getting the toddlers shirt over the summer like our bosses signings or maybe that means i wont be buying anything AGAIN!!!!! do i seem a little bit miffed?

20. F U - 21 March, 2011

@ Jarsenal69
Did they come out with a different monetary value to “real supporters” notes then the monies given by those who are deemed plastics.
Time for a reality check.
Every cent counts no matter where it comes from u dumb tw@t.
Having all the blind passion in the world won’t help the Arsenal if it only comes from a few people.
You purists are a joke and need to see the bigger concern.
Without shed loads of revenue we can’t survive and few ‘plastics’ support perennial losers especially if the have to shell out top dollar.
The club can only squeeze so much out of lifelong gooners and stand to be in a real pickle if they don’t buck this trend of paying the overrated calamities they have been paying which is why most gooners are upset.
AW got it wrong…so be it but then move on…simples
nope not us….just keep forcing it and regurgitate the same excuses year after year when it doesn’t (and everyone could see it wouldn’t) work out.
pathetic really

21. CedarBayDave - 21 March, 2011

I think the home kit should be a proper wool 2 piece sweater set to honor the blokes who started the club for the 125th anniversary.

Denilson should probably be captain also, since he plays at the speed that they probably did back then.

22. sam - 21 March, 2011

this must be a fake. The shirt is much much too similar to the current one and the crest looks all wrong. Also the clos up pic of the cresthas a differen colour of red behind it. I doubt they have seriously considered the new kit design.

23. chris 101 - 21 March, 2011

I am not buying anymore Arsenal shirts until Wenger starts to buy proven players! I think fans should boycott buying shirts next season to show the club that we are tired of not winning any trophies! Out of 3 cups in a week is not acceptable. I remember Wenger saying he will buy a CB in January if TV5 isn’t expected back, obviously he didn’t buy and in a recent interview he said he didn’t expect him back until the end of the season…so why didn’t he buy!!no player is bigger than the club as is no manager!!how long will this go on!

boycott shirt purchases next season to prove a point!

24. bob mcnabs cat - 21 March, 2011

oh dear mr chef,
now look what have you started??

25. Si - 22 March, 2011

I loved the blue lightening

26. Bukanate02 - 23 March, 2011

We are not fools, arsene wenger has been making fool of us for the past six years and now you expect me to buy a jersey of a club that is not ambitious lie lie, other clubs win one or two trophies every season, even barcelona that have the best academy in the world buy expensive players wereas wenger and his stupid policy has kept us for trophyless six years,we cannot buy that jersey unless we decide to spend the money we make.
