I think this site is brilliant,i visit it daily and always add comments, but why ( im asking lasagnechef here) do you not use the name emirates ever?

4. ZA gunner - 21 April, 2009

the emirates stadium

5. lasagnechef - 7 December, 2009

It should be called Ashburton Grove, I just prefer the un-sponsored name. That’s what it’d be if we hadn’t sold the naming rights.

Think the Emirates sounds better, to me and the pockets of the club

A club is, to some extent, a reflection of its ambience. Ashburton Grove is where the Emirates Stadium is located. So when i say “the Emirates Stadium”, i refer to the stadium in particular.
I use Ashburton Grove synonymously with North London & the whole Arsenal FC establishment (just the way Eastlands stands for the whole of ManCity and not just their stadium).
I guess this should clear the air a bit.
